The interior door handle on the driver's side of my 2000 Tundra does not open the door. The exterior door handle works fine. I would assume the cable has broken on the door latch portion. What is the easiest way to replace the cable. I have power windows and locks. Thanks! Len Hirschi

Remove the screws that fasten the interior door panel to the door.  Visually inspect the handle assembly. there will be two cables that connect the handle and lock button to the door lock assembly.  I would bet that the L-shaped end of the interior door handle cable broke.  The replacement is self explanatory for the handle. Google the door lock assembly which isn't as visable.  Bob

Opening mechanism inside front door not working - How do I get door open?

Parts are available at a salvage yard. Getting the door open is going to be your problem "unless" you pull the seat out and have room to take door panel off to open the door with the mechanism manually.

Inside handle will not open door. Can not figure out how to get latch out of door to look at problem. Pulled door panel, moved window rail, 3 screws from latch, and cable mount attached to latch. How do...

There are plastic clips that hold the rods in place - one for the rod that goes to the exterior handle and another that goes to the exterior lock. You need to snap the plastic clips around so they release and then the rods will pull right out.

you will have to take the panel off to see why the inner lock/activator isnt working properly, besides youll have to take it off to fix it anyway.Maybe as simple as a bent handle to lock rod being bent and no longer long enough to activate lock correctly.youll just have to look and see.Let me know what you find
