'91 Buick LeSabre heater blower motor

How difficult and expensive is it to replace the heater blower motor on 1991 Buick LeSabre? I live in Chicago and thought I could "get by" without it because I don't do alot of driving, but ok, no. Any work-around solutions?

Are you sure the blower motor is defective? If the blower motor resistor pack is bad the blower will not work. Have you applied 12 volts directly to the blower motor to verify it is bad? I have not replaced a blower motor on your particular car but it is usually a labor intensive repair. Depending on where you have it repaired the cost could be as little as $150 and up. Hard to say without actually doing it. Replacing the Resistor Pack is a fairly easy repair, so hopefully that is your problem.

Blower motor on a 1991 lesabre is easy to replace, just 5 bolts and it slides right out, it is on the firewall behind the engine, plenty of room to maneuver it out and replace it, cost is negligible, around 60 bucks for lifetime warranty product.

In-operative Heater blower

These cars don't have a resistor per say. They are equipped with a blower module which is on the right end of the blower case behind the glove box. Much more expensive than the typical resistor.

I believe that i have a blown heater motor fuse on a 1991 buick lesabre. which fuse is it and where is it located?

Check the power at the connector to the blower motor with a test light or gauge. Mine would blow at times and I turned it on unplugged connector and reconnected . It works fine after I cleaned and fixed it.

!993 Buick Le Sabre Heater motor does not work at any speed.

I had the same problem with mine and I replaced the blower motor, and still didn't work. The problem ended up being the blower motor control module. I have the auto temp control, so my replacement part was pretty expensive. Found a used one online fairly cheap. Hope this helps.
