I hear a sound of gushing water behind the right side of the dash on my 2005 Nissan Altima? What is the issue? I heard it may be attributed to an air pocket in my cooling system. I had a mechanic service it but now it sounds worse than before the service.

I checked the floor and there was no wetness. I also checked the radiator level and it is full. The issue the shop advised me of was there was an air pocket in the cooling system. They tested for leaks but found none. They bled the coolant system but apparently did not do it properly. I took it to the local Nissan dealership and they confirmed that. They advised me the coolant was bubbling when they checked it. They indicated that they repeated the process of bleeding the bubbles from the coolant. They think they solved the issue. I will find out when I pick it up. Thanks!

sounds like the heater-core ! check the floor for excess water and check you radiator level. if you had a repair shop look into the issue they should have told you what the issue was ..did they ? well i would 1st look towards the fluid levels and a possible heater-core leak as you are describing .. check the floor for excess wetness ? ! with the vehicle running do you see or even smell anything different ..?

Its an airlock in the heater core.Start the motor and turn the heater on full.this opens the water tap that allows the hot water through the heater core.Take off the radiator cap first before all this.Only take the cap off a COOL motor.(important!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)Now run the the motor and as it warms up,bring the revs to about 1500rpm.Have a look in the radiator caop and hopefully you will see some air bubbles.Turn the heater tap on and off a few times to help surge the water through. If this does not fix it,the heater core may have a blockage and this requires the 2 heater hoses to be taken of and flushed through in both diections.Hope this helps

2005 nissan altima , when turning the air on high there is a crackiling noise comfrom the dash board , any idea on what this is ? and how to get rid of it ?

Does it come from the dashboard or more from the passenger side glove box area? Does the noise happen when the interior is very warm and the fan is then turned on? If so, this can be normal as the cooler air will cause flexing of a hot dash board resulting in crackling

Water leaking from right side of Altima its not air condition water pump its dripping off a silver thing behind the wheelcould it be my

Could be just your windshield fluid container leaking, which you should not worry about, check container and see if it is low and put a mark on level and see if it goes below,Your pump is connected to container and it may be leaking there, look and see.

2009 nissan altima is making a noise ...i think its the tension. has anyone ever heard of that?

older model altima need drive belt tension adjustment at 7500 miles intervals, the new models altimas has a automatic belt tensioner.i you hear noises belt tensioner could be failing.or could have leaking coolant getting on drive belt due to water pump gasket leaking or pump leaking.or alternator power steering pump could be failing many things will cause drive belt to make high squeak noises.

2005 cadillac CTS. noise behind dashboad. Water pump?

The sound is the heater getting air in it from air in the cooling system. Have the system pressure tested for leaks.

Why do I hear water sloughing back and forth on passenger side

If it is in the dash it is possible it is the condensation from the A/C system which means you have a blocked drain line that should let all of that water drain out the bottom of the car.

2005 altima heater blows cold air

have you checked your fuses? thats the first place to start
if no fuse is blown a connection behind the dash may have come loose or the heater core burnt out
unless you like a challenge both are jobs best for a mechanic as it may be a rather lengthy process

2005 Kia Sorento gurgling noise behind dash

Check the water coolant level because some of the hot water goes into the heater radiator behind the dash. Seems you have air in the system.
