I know five (5) people who purchased the 2009 or 2010 Expedition. All 100% of them have complaints of the headrest hurting their neck. I know folks that won't even drive their new 2010 Expedition because it hurts their necks, and the dealer won't take it back! If enough people tell ford about the problem, erhaps Ford will post a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) to tell dealers how to fix the problem. It is possible to build safe headrests that do not hurt necks during normal driving: just look at the competition. The headrest is not the right equipment to sacrifice comfort. Neck pain causes distraction and is a safety issue. Ford should be as concerned about liability from wrecks caused by headrest pian distractions as they are about the rear impact safety. Complain to Ford!

Contact Ford about the issue with the headrests. At Ford.com, go to the contact us section. If you own a Ford, click vehicle/something. It requires your VIN, mileage and other info. If you do not own a Ford, click OTHER. You can state your problem without all the vehicle info. Tell Ford about the horrible design of their headrests. I have already gotten a reply from Ford.

I have a 2010 f150.The headrests are terrible. The saets are made for people with bent backs. You cannot sit up straight and be comfortable. I dread a long trip in this truck.

Where can we find a replacement headrest for the 2010 Ford Expedition? The standard head rest causes my head to tilt forward and hurts my neck.

SOURCE: Can the 2010 Navigator replace

Finally found someone after 40 years, that believes a 5th grader could design a vehicle.
I have told my wife, that I would fire most all design engineers, ever hired since 1960. You can't even remove an oil filter, for the last 45 years, let alone see it.
I have 47 years, some professional, and can't believe what these maufactures are thinking.
Iam about to do a ground up 60's resto, and never drive drive a high tech vehicle again. And I understand the technology and have no problem repairing them.

How do i raise and lower the headrests on 2010 chrysler town and country

You should find a small plastic tab at the base of the headrest. If the headrest is down, you will have to force your hand under it and feel for it - it is fitted on one of the rods that the headrest rides up and down on. Once you find it, push on it as you pull the headrest up.

My child has gotten my seat belt tight around the back of my 2009 Ford Expedition headrest in the back seat of the second row. Is there anyway to take the headrest off so that I can get the seat belt...

Yes if you lift the headrest upwards it will raise and you may be able to lift it out, you may need to press a button on the seat top to do so.

07 Expedition second row seat head rest cover plate removal

There should either be a little button at the base of the headrest that you push, or a small hole in the rod part, with a hole in it. Push in the hole with a pen, or a small nail to release the headrest.
