My 2005 nissan altima has both tail lights out, the break lights work and i searched all over for the tail light fuse, but i cannot seem to find it. help?.

if its like most nissan s you have to remove the glovebox and the fuse box is behind it, the main box can also be located beside your battery, if both tail light blow it will, blow a fuse, so check your lights regular to save you the hassle of looking for fuses.

Replace rear tail light bulb on a 2005 nissan maxima

Open the trunk, from the inside remove the side trunk liner (by removing the plastic tabs the liner can be pulled back). Once the liner is pulled back you will need to remove two nuts which secure the tail light in place. Once the two nuts are removed you can start pulling the whole tail light assembly out. There are two other tabs that secure the tail light in place which may give you some resistance but the light should come out without too much force once the two nuts are removed.
Once the tail light is out you can change whatever bulbs you need to.

I think it is the same as a '04 maxima. Open the trunk, from the inside remove the side trunk liner (by removing the plastic tabs the liner can be pulled back). Need to change my right brake light/tail light, but not sure how to take off the plastic case

The tail lamp housing is secured to the vehicle by two fasteners and a tab/hook. To remove the fasteners, use a flat blade screwdriver to pry up the head of the fastener, then remove the fastener. Next pivot the tail lamp away from the vehicle to disengage the hook from the rubber body grommet. Disconnect the wire harness by disengaging the connector lock and then the connector release tab.

As a disclaimer, you should disconnect the battery before attempting any electrical repairs....

Hope this helps...
