Unfortunately, the keys have an anti-theft chip in their bodies that communicates with the car's system. Try Googling ("Nissan/car key programming" for a cheaper price or phone independent garages. The keys can probably only be done by an authorized Nissan dealer. Also, phone locksmiths for their opinion.

It is very likely that the terminal is fine. Many vehicle owners are not aware that the newer factory installed anti-theft systems will lock down the car, ( prevent it from starting ), if the battery is disconnected for more than just a couple of minutes. In the future if you need to disconnect the battery, make sure that you dis-arm the anti-theft system first
You should be able to find out how to dis-arm/over-ride the anti-theft system in your owners manual.
