My radio was working before my battery died on me. Battery was replaced but radio stopped working after the batter was replaced. Any ideas?
Check for a blown fuse. I assume you already checked your fusebox/radio fuse. http://www.kisouman.com/fuse_relay_panel_description-350.html
I don't know if you have an aftermarket radio, but it may be an inline fuse going up to the battery inside your engine compartment like this: http://smg.photobucket.com/user/Arcticdc5/media/1969%20Corvette%20Project/898a8e3c.jpg.html
you might have a custom install inside your fuse box like this: http://www.caraudioremoval.com/uploads/2/3/8/4/23842228/5144229.jpg
or you may have to pull your radio out, and find the radio fuse in the back of the unit. Hope this helps. http://cdn4.pelicanparts.com/BMW/techarticles/BMW-3-Series-E46/99-ELEC-Radio_CD_Player_Replacement/images_small/pic10.jpg
The radio is original. I looked at the fuses inside of a car there's a few of them that they all do but I don't know what specific fuse is for the radio because in the description and never says radio do you know which one it might be
No, I don't know specifically, looking at this charthttp://www.kisouman.com/fuse_relay_panel... The ACC 10A lists "Audio" as the 1st of several items. That would be my best guess.
Is it possible that the radio won't turn on and I have no display on the screen put it mean that it's a security code issue or is it only a fuse issue in your opinion
Being that everything is totally dead would indicate no power to me. Security needs power to operate.
I checked the fuse that said audio 15a and it was bad, I replaced it and the radio is turning on now. I checked all the other fuses that had audio in the description and that didn't do it it was the specific fuse that was labeled audio thank you for all your help
:) Happy I saved you money! Have a great day Ben! Enjoy the tunes.

You can check the fuse for the radio. Also some radios have a security feature and only a code can make it work again. It is usually found on the glove compartment. Check owners manual of the car. A 5 digit code.
I have the owner's manual. Do you know where inside the owner's manual the reset code might be? I'm not seeing it. Or maybe there's a website that has it online the code Maybe
Its usually in there with the owners manual. It will say for the radio. You can also check on the glove compartment. Some cars have a sticker. if not then you can ask the dealer for the code.
Many Kias do not utilize this security code feature. Besides, if your radio is not showing ANY display, then it is probably not getting ANY power. Which means your problem is far more likely to be a blown fuse. Check the fuses labeled "ACC" , "IGN 1" , and "POWER CONNECTOR - AUDIO." These are the 3 fuses associated with your radio. If any of them are blown, you've found your problem. Simply replace them, and you should be good to go.
