SOURCE: low speed fan relay for the 2005 chrysler town and country

If you are talking about the cooling fan relay for the radiator there is no low speed and high speed relay. There is only one relay and it is behind the grill revitted to the bumper rail. It is doesnt look like you typical relay.

SOURCE: 2002 chrysler town and country wont leave limp mode

try getting a new shift solenoid for it. i had the same problem on my 2002 chrysler town and country and my plymouth breeze which is also a dodge product. it is very simple to do and doesnt take all that long. the part will probably run you about 150 to 200 dollars but it should fix your problem.

SOURCE: locassion of output speed sensor on 2003 Town and Country

The input and output speed sensors look identical on the connector side. The one over the solenoid pack is the input, the one closer to the left frame rail or left front wheel is the output sensor. I hope this helps.

SOURCE: Transmission input output speed sensors

The speed sensor is on the tailshaft of the transmission,on the passenger side of the car,it has 3 wires. The output sensors are located on the front of the transmission about mid-way up the housing & only have 2 wires. Note the output sensors are not responsible for vehicle speed. Only the output shaft speed is recorded. They are for finding the correct cvi(clutch volume index) only. If you have a cvi issue, the transmission is toast.

Where is the transmission sensor located on a 2008 Chrysler Town and Country 3.3 engine

For the 2008 Chrysler Town and Country, the transmission uses both an input (or turbine) speed sensor and an output speed sensor. These sensors help the transmission control module (TCM) understand the speed of the input shaft and the speed of the output shaft, allowing the TCM to adjust shifts and maintain optimal performance.

Location: Generally, on this model:

  • The Input/Turbine Speed Sensor is located on the front of the transmission, close to the transmission cooler lines.
  • The Output Speed Sensor is located on the front side of the transmission, typically more toward the driver's side.
However, accessing the exact location can sometimes be difficult due to other components in the way, and visibility may be limited.

Replacement Procedure:
Here's a basic procedure for replacing these sensors:
  1. Safety First: Disconnect the negative terminal from the battery to ensure safety.
  2. Locate the speed sensor on the transmission.
  3. Unplug the electrical connector from the sensor.
  4. Use a socket or wrench to remove the bolt holding the sensor in place.
  5. Remove the sensor. Sometimes they can be a bit snug or stuck due to dirt and grime.
  6. Install the new sensor. Ensure that it's seated properly.
  7. Reconnect the electrical connector.
  8. Reconnect the battery terminal.
  9. Clear any transmission codes using an OBD-II scanner.
Difficulty: The process isn't typically too challenging for someone with basic mechanical skills. However, the difficulty can arise if the sensors are stuck or if there's limited space to access them. Having the right tools and perhaps a flexible socket extension can make the process smoother.

It's always a good idea to refer to a repair manual specific to your vehicle for detailed instructions and illustrations. If in doubt, or if you encounter challenges, you might want to consult with a mechanic or professional before proceeding.

Lastly, the confusion online might stem from the various changes and designs Chrysler has used over the years, and the terminology might vary between sources. It's always best to cross-reference with a reputable repair manual or a trusted mechanic.

Replace the input speed sensor on a 2001 chrysler town and country 3.8

The input speed sensor is located directly below and a little to the right of the cooler lines that are going into the transmission. IF you are standing in from of the car, remove the air breather or anything else that prevents you from getting down in on the driver side. There are two seemingly similar plugs at 9o'clock to the rear of the motor. The one closest to the motor is the input, the one further back is the out put.

It just unscrews and you screw the new on in.

Hope this helps
