you saw a code, and where,did you see it.?
in the dash?
or on a real scan tool?
we cant guess that.
nor if the tool shows 1 code or 100.
scan it, and see all codes first. the report them all\
is this confusing.
get it serviced, the operators guide in the glove box say that

I have an 04 Kia spectra with a PO121 code. What domestic this mean

probably the motor but chaeck this first G3 CHECK CIRCUIT 58 FOR BATTERY VOLTAGE
  • Unplug wire harness connector.
  • Set wiper switch on low.
  • Check Circuit 58 for battery voltage key on.
