Question about 2002 Land Rover Discovery Series II

The in car dvd player in my 2002 Land Rover Discovery isn't working.

The over head LCD screen powers up and I can select AV1 and AV2 plus PAL and NTSC. However the DVD player under the driver's seat doesn't seem to be working. The lights come on and it let me insert a disc but that's all it did. The disc doesn't sound like it's spinning and it won't let me eject the disc. And there is no picture on the over head LCD.

go to Video format settings and change it (NTSC) to PAL
and it depends on your device model number if it's support both NTSC and PAL or not
you can check the model number online.

Put the DVD player back in or replace it. They are interconnected. One won't work without the other...

My 2003 mini Cooper s navigation screen is completely blank and the power light is not on . This is after mistakenly using a 2004+ navigation update dvds with firmware. Help

that shoud not have affected that , if you have no power , ck the fuse

Sorry about this.
The only way to know if this is covered under warranty is for you to confirm whether your warranty period is still active or not.
Warranty period active; take your car back to the dealer and get the seatbelt recoil fixed.
Warranty period inactive: you have to bear the cost to get the seatbelt recoil fixed orrepaired.

My dvd has sound but no picture

hi robert, if you are referring to a car dvd player then first check the wiring of your unit. there could be a picture mute/park brake wire that needs to be grounded. this feature acts as an enable for the picture on your dvd player. next check that you have set the correct system type for your region e.g. pal, ntsc,secam. this will be a button found on your remote control of dvd unit. next try a master reset on the unit. thereafter consult with your installer before taking unit for repairs. cheers!

hi..

hi please check the power cable goin to DVD player.
if the power cable is in place then there is the problem with the cable may be there is a loose connection in it. try changing the new cable and check weather it is working.

DVD player saying NO DVD. this is because you might have inserted the file format which wil not be supported by that particular player. if you have placed a correct format dvd then problem is with the dvd player. Give it for service
