Autodata identifies all nissan 2.4 liter engines as interference fit
there are special requirements when fitting the belt so a workshop manual would be a big advantage to do the job right
replace all idler pulleys as the nearings will be at service life as well
if there is indication of oil stains in the covers , replace both cam shaft and crank shaft seals as oil is the major destroyer of cam belts

Do 1994 Nissan 4 cylinders need a new timing belt at 90,000 to100,000 Miles??

Your Nissan does not have an interference engine, meaning when the belt breaks it will not ruin your engine. In fact Gates hose and belts doesn't even list a timing belt for that engine which makes me think that you have a timing chain instead. Timing chains seldom break so unless your having some issue that make you think it needs replacing I would just drive it.

For a 2001 nissan xterra when should the timing belt be replaced

On a 3.3L engine V-6, Nissan recommends replacement every 105,000 miles, note that this is an interference engine, that piston to valve damage will happen in the event of a timing belt failure.

Xterra with 2.4L and 4.0L have timing chain only, no timing belt.

TIMING CHAIN CHANGE

hyundai recommends replacing the belt every 60,000 miles or 48 mos and this is an "interference" engine which means if the belt breaks, it will cause internal engine damage. happy holidays

At what milage should a timing belt be changed on a 2002 Nissian frontier crew cab?

60-80,000 miles is a great benchmark for ANY vehicle. nissan recomends 105,000 miles which seems a little excessive to me. be careful because this engine is listed as an interference motor and WILL cause internal engine damage if it was to break.

For California models recommended at 105,000 miles.Belt needs to be inspected at 60,000 and 90,000, miles and replace at 105,000 miles.
Except California replace at 60,000 miles. Note 1.8L engine is a interference engine, if timing belt goes bad will cause major internal engine damage.
