How do i get my car running again it broke down i got a jump made it home and next day wont start no dash lights radio it doesnt do anything what is wrong ?

Sounds like bad battery or battery connections. Using a voltage check to see how much voltage the battery has under load.

alternator wouldnt stop vehicle from re-starting let sit awhile then restart --alternator charges and runs just about all components on vehicle mechanic should have dont a test on alternator and battery [which can be done for free at most auto stores ] sounds more like a shorting --loose connections damage to a harness or bcm fault[y]

charge or replace batery... if doesnt help, check ground, may be loose electric connection..

is this the model with the elec water pump?

is there a check engine light, possible mass air flow sensor

Check all fuses ,wiring anywhere short or check alternatour

your charging system is working okay or you would have to have it jumped more than once a day.you have a bad battery that needs replacing as running it during the day the charging system keeps the battery charged up enough to work.you could have a drain on the battery from something in the car that is not shutting down that you will have to have checked out.or sitting over night the battery runs down to the point that it needs to be jumped started if its an old battery(over5-6years).

I do not see how it could be anything else than the starter now that you have already replaced the battery and the alternator. However, the dash lights coming off and on tend to sound like loose wiring or bad connections regarding the three parts that have been already mentioned. The fact that it coughed sounds like dirty fuel related.

at the minimum, since you mentioned all the idiot lights coming on, your alternator is fried. have someone put in a new alternator. if it's still acting up, have someone go over the computer.

it could be the starter sticking next time when it doesnt start try tapping the starter with a spanner.
