How to program 1997 Maxima remote
Try this it works for the 95 and 96 models it should also work for all models 95 thru 99. 1st you need to get in the car and hit the lock button on the drivers door switch. Make sure doors and windows are all shut. To program the remote you must insert the key into the ignition 6 to 8 times rapidly in a 10 second time period and when you have done it correct the hazards lights will then illuminate twice. Next then you must hit the lock button quickly on the remote due to a slight time delay only hit the button once. Keep repeating this step until it works and to find out if it worked hold down the trunk button or the unlock button(the front windows should let down on you Mad-Max.

Can't find Egr Solenoid
the Green color solenoid is the EGRC solenoid valve , i had my Nissan Maxima GXE with the code P1400 EGRC solenoid valve but i got brand new one on the car but the code still there can anyone help thank you.

P0150 - O2 Sensor Circuit Malfunction Bank 2 Sensor 1 Possible causes:
Faulty Front Heated Oxygen Sensor Bank 2
Front Heated Oxygen Sensor Bank 2 - harness is open or shorted
Front Heated Oxygen Sensor Bank 2 - faulty electrical connection
Fuel pressure not right
Faulty fuel injectors
Intake leaks
Exhaust leaks

'97 Maxima Windshield wiper problems
Check to make sure your fuse is set all the way down first. Could be a bad ground too. Check the wiring at the wiper motor and maybe clean the ground and terminals with either alcohol or electric cleaner and make sure the are dry before you plug it back in. It sounds like a power to the wiper motor issue. If that doesn't fix it your wiper motor may have an internal short.

97 Nissan Maxima heat still blowing when AC is on
Well thinking about the problem there e a flap in the vent pipes to shut off theatre and ac unit perhaps something has got in the pipe and stopping it closing or perhaps your heater control is US and needs replaceing . ( but I take it you have turned your heater to cold )

Yes, most likely the switch but possibly the anti-theft system. You can be more sure by checking the wires as they come out of the steering column. Use a multi meter or test light to see if there is power on the start wire when you're having the problem. It's the black wire with a white stripe if you have a stick and black with yellow stripe for auto trans. Your switch is not difficult to replace. There is a short procedure on autozone.com.

No spark nostart on 1997 maxima with 1998 tranny
did you replace the knock sensor from the old one to the replacement one. ? double check the sensors are the correct ones fitted to your original engine are on the new replacement, also check the connection plugs, sometimes these cannot connect fully if have become weak.
