SOURCE: 2004 Chrsyler Pacifica Won't Start

2 possible problem come to mind:

  • Bad ignition switch; faulty switch will occasionally make contact but not every time
  • Bad starter; less likely but possible; a bad starter will function when it's cold but when it heats up, takes much more power to make it work
I hope this helps with your problem and wish you the best of luck. Take care!

I have a 2001 Dodge Intrepid and it keeps dying

Trouble code P0340 means: Camshaft Position Sensor A Circuit (Bank 1 or single sensor). Recheck the sensor's gap. Remove the old paper spacer from the sensor and replace it with a new one or if you have a new sensor, make sure you have installed a new paper spacer installed before installing the new sensor. Good luck and it's common for after market cam/crank sensor to be more temperamental then the OEM.

I pulled codes from a dodge grand carvan the code is p0016 crankshaft sensor b1 sa1 replaced and replaced camshalf sensor also still did not fix the problem what other part should i look at

Hello! The DTC P0016 inidicates a cranskshaft and camshaft misalignment. If you only replaced the camshaft position sensor - you may need to replace the crankshaft position sensor - which is located at the top where the engine and transmission connect.

Hope this helps and good luck! Thanks for using FixYa!

Explain :P0320 ignition engine speed input circuit malfunction: it was driveable but it just cut off and want run at all.

My truck was doing the same thing.... replaced the crankshaft sensor first, truck would still die after about 10 minutes of idleing, it back-fired thru the engine and blew off the back of the intake manifold. Pulled the monifold, reglued end-cap and put back in truck. STILL died after idleing for 10 minutes. Code PO320 kept coming up ( crankshaft sensor) researched it and found a bad camshaft sensor can cause crankshaft sensor to act up and give code for the crankshaft sensor. Replaced camshaft sensor and the truck runs like a dream !!!!!! I believe the Manifold was cracked for a while causing the 1299 code reading ( vacuum leak) the back-fire finished it off! I would check the back of your intake manifold for a leak. The combination of fixing the vacuum leak , cam/crankshaft sensors seems to have fixed the problem. GOOD LUCK!!!
