Rear Passenger Power Window Operation
The rear passenger power window switches receive battery voltage through the window lockout control circuit if the window lockout function is disabled. Ground for the rear passenger power window motors is supplied through normally closed up and down contacts of both the rear passenger power window switches and the driver power window switch. When the either rear passenger power window switch is placed in the down position, the power window motor down control circuit is switched to 12 volts and is applied to the down side of the rear passenger power window motor. Since the other side of the rear passenger power motor is connected to ground through the normally closed up contacts of both the rear passenger and driver power window switches, the window travels down. By placing the rear passenger power window switch in the up position, the polarity of the power window motor is reversed and the window travels up.
The rear passenger power windows can also be controlled from the driver power window switch.

System Description NEEL0216 MODELS WITHOUT POWER DOOR LOCKS NEEL0216S01 The rear window defogger system is controlled by the rear window defogger timer. The rear window defogger operates only for approximately 15 minutes. The rear window defogger switch is integral to the air control. Power is supplied at all times  to rear window defogger relay terminal 5  through 20A fuse [No. 25, located in the fuse block (J/B)]. With the ignition switch in the ON or START position, power is supplied  through 10A fuse [No. 5, located in the fuse block (J/B)]  to rear window defogger relay terminal 1, and  to rear window defogger timer terminal 1. Ground is supplied to air control (rear window defogger switch) terminal 8 and rear window defogger timer terminal 4 through body grounds M14 and M68. With the rear window defogger switch (located in air control) ON, ground is supplied  to rear window defogger timer terminal 3  through air control (rear window defogger switch) terminal 8. Rear window defogger timer terminal 2 then supplies ground to the rear window defogger relay terminal 2. With power and ground supplied, the rear window defogger relay is energized. Power is supplied at all times  to rear window defogger relay terminal 5  through 20A fuse [No. 25, located in the fuse block (J/B)] and  to smart entrance control unit terminal 49  through 7.5A fuse [No. 28, located in the fuse block (J/B)]. Doesn't use a relay , controlled by lift gate control module . Your best bet , take it to a qualified repair shop .

Rear Window Defogger Operation (With LGM)
Battery positive voltage is supplied through the LGM 2 fuse to the LGM for the rear window defogger system. When the rear window defogger switch is depressed, the HVAC control module illuminates the rear window defogger indicator, and sends a class 2 message to the LGM to enable the rear window defogger. The LGM enables the rear window defogger by allowing battery positive voltage to the rear window defogger.
When the rear window defogger switch is pressed for the first time, the defogger cycle lasts 10 minutes. Further operation results in 10 minute defogger cycles.

Circuit Description
The liftgate module (LGM)/endgate module (EGM) monitors the voltage level on the supply voltage circuit of the rear window defogger. The LGM/EGM test the supply voltage circuit of the rear window defogger every 160 milliseconds. With the rear window defogger inactive, the supply voltage circuit of the rear window defogger will have no voltage present. With the rear window defogger active, the supply voltage circuit of the rear window defogger will be near system voltage.

GENERAL PROCEDURES Rear Window Motor Initialization s1r~us~en~file=ani_caut.gif~gen~ref.gif CAUTION: Make sure that no obstructions are present in the power rear window system when carrying out this procedure.
NOTE: This procedure must be carried out when repairs are performed on any part of the power rear window system including when: the power rear window motor is removed from the window regulator drum housing, a new power rear motor is installed, a new power rear window regulator is installed, a new power rear window module is installed, and any operation in which grease or lubricants are applied to the power rear window system.
NOTE: All power rear window components (window glass module, window regulator, window motor, and glass runs) must be installed and torqued to specification before carrying out this procedure.
NOTE: Steps 1-6 must be completed within 30 seconds. The entire procedure must be completed within five minutes.
NOTE: Once the ignition key is turned to the ON position in Step 6, it must remain on until the entire procedure is completed.
NOTE: Steps 7 and 9 require that the power rear window control switch be held in the closed position until the power rear window motor stalls the window in the upper header seal. Step 8 requires that the window control switch be momentarily turned to the open position.
  1. Start with the ignition in the OFF position.
  1. Turn the ignition to the ON position.
  1. Press the power rear window control switch vent button six times.
  1. Turn the ignition to the OFF position.

my 2004 expedition had same problem, if you take apart the shaft that goes thru the glass it will be full of dirt, clean ,lubricate and reinstall, you may have to replace the O-ring on the shaft. a 20 minute job, very easy fix

Hey when i push the power botton for the rear window it doesn't go down,I checked the power button,and its good ! Can i replace the power motor in the rear window,and where is it located,i would like to...

  1. Raise and support the rear door window glass to the full up position.
  2. Remove the interior door handle.
  3. Remove the rear door speaker.
  4. Remove the water shield.
  5. Disconnect the rear door window regulator motor electrical connector.
  6. Remove the rear door window regulator rivets.
  7. Remove the rear door window regulator by sliding the regulator arms off of the window glass track.
  8. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure, noting the following:
    • Cycle the door glass to make sure of engagement of the drive mechanism.
    • Remove the rear door window glass-to-regulator bolt or rivet.
    • Position the rear door window glass as necessary to access the rear door window glass-to-regulator rivet.
    • Secure the rear door window glass in the full UP position with tape.
    • Disconnect the window regulator motor electrical connector.
    • Remove the 2 window regulator nuts.
    • Remove the 3 window regulator motor bracket nuts.
    • Install the window regulator assembly. Tighten the 3 motor bracket nuts to 89 inch lbs. (10 Nm).
    • Install the 2 window regulator nuts. Tighten the nuts to 89 inch lbs. (10 Nm).
    • Connect the window regulator motor electrical connector.
    • Remove the tape securing the rear door window glass in the full UP position.
    • Position the rear door window glass as necessary to access the rear door window glass-to-regulator rivet. Tighten the bolt to 62 inch lbs. (7 Nm), or install a new rivet.
    • Install the window regulator motor
    • Remove the window regulator assembly.
