Check the wiring to the fuel pump, sounds like it is pinched and grounding out somewhere in that line

SOURCE: E.E.C fuse keeps blowing in 1991 Ford Explorer

if you replaced fuel pump i would look at backward wiring when replaced and i would start at the source of work if your vehicle was working fine before replacement then 9 out of 10 it will be your fuel pump wireing

sometimes when putting wireing back together the connectors have the missing clip and in turn you can turn the wireing in both directions now where positive is touching the ground on both sides of connector kris kross problem check your work this is crucial use a test light to find the right wires where they go

SOURCE: 20 amp fuse for fuel pump keeps blowing

Lets see if I can help you... first I have a few questions

Have you done anything else other replace the tensioner pulley?

Did you disturb any wirirng?

I am not sure if the alternator circuit is connected to tha same fuse or not but it might be. A easy way to see if you alternator is at fault you can disconnect the main lead to the common output terminal but make sure it is taped up after disconnecting so if it does touch something it does not short out. Then try and see if the fuse still blows.

But I really dont think that it is your alternator... I suspect that your fuel pump is shorted out and this is what is causing your fuse failure.

I am about 85 percent to the fuel pump

SOURCE: 2008 Ford F450 fuel pump relay fuse keeps blowing.

the fuel pump and radio are not on the same circuit, most liokely the fuel pump is shorted, that is the most common cause, get under the truck and disconnect the fuel pump connector at the tank, if the fuse doesn't blow then u need a new pump.

SOURCE: My 2002 f350 diesel keeps

the problem could be the fuel pump fuses only blow when they are overloaded ie. if you have a 15 amp fuse & the fuel pump or whatever is drawing 20 amps the fuse will blow,if you are using the right amp fuse the fuel pump is drawing too much power & may be faulty or there is a problem with the wiring, a loose connection or the like.....hope this helps....cheers

Fuel pump fuse blows i 94 chev Lumina van

First, the ground wire coming from the fuel pump needs to be checked for proper grounding. Next the fuel pump power supply wire needs to be checked for chafing or exposed wiring that could short out. If all checked out well, you may need to update the fuel pump harness that plugs to the pump. It comes with a bigger gauge wire to handle the electrical load without popping fuses. This was common on these.

Keeps blowing fuel pump fuse. Why?

This normally happens due to short in the wirings.Or if someone has connected a stereo or some other electrical contrivance to the wiring harness (bundle), either under the dash or under the hood.To confirm this unplug the fuel pump wiring connections and insert new fuse. Then start the car and see,if still the fuse blows then its a short in wiring. But if the fuse does not blows then its faulty fuel pump relay or faulty fuel pump itself. So first replace the fuel pump relay and see,if the fuel still blows then its faulty fuel pump. But if the fuse not blowing then relay was the faulty part. The fuel pump relay located on the fuse box under the hood.---------This troubleshooting tips will help you locate the fault and solve it.-------Thanks.Helpmech.

Fuel ECU fuse keeps blowing (30 amp)

Your fuel pump is internally binding and causing the fuse to blow. Change the pump (and filter while you're back there.)
