Hi I have a ldv 400 convoy 2002 bio fuel tipper crew cab my fuel pump electrics melted on the pump I could not find one any were so I made one and I tested it on a battery it works I put it on my truck...

You put power from the relay to the pump, it worked. That wire is good. The wire from the fuse to the relay is bad. Your going to have to look inside the fuse panel.

Locate fuse for fuel pump 1997 camaro

The fuel pump power to the relay is powered by the PCM BAT fuse 15amp.
The relay is grounded and the PCM powers the relay to turn it on and power the pump.
You should have power on the orange wire with the key on.
The PCM powers the relay when the key switch is in the start position and after the computer sees oil pressure and RPM.

I need help hooking up new headlights, with halos and LEDs, i nned them to turn on right wen the car turns on... Not wen i turn lights on

For that you will need to be able to do some serious wiring. You will need to find a relay in the engine compartment fuse/relay box that turns on when you turn on the key, like the electric fuel pump relay, for example. Next you will need to calculate the amperage draw of all of the lights you are going to hook up. If the fuse for the relay you chose is smaller than the amperage you need to serve both the fuel pump and the lights then you will need to make a fuse connection at a spare in the fuse box to connect to the new relay output and input (see below). The fuel pump relay has control and supply wires on it. The supply wires actually supply the power to the fuel pump. The control wires simply turn on the relay when you turn on the key in the ignition. You need to hook up the control wires of the fuel pump relay to the control wires of the new lights relay. As stated earlier, the supply wires are then hooked to the relay and, in turn to the supply fuse. Make certain that you use some heavier wire for the supply circuits. Thinner wires may be substituted for the control wires. Solder at the fuse box side and use spade connectors at the lights side...good luck!

94 explorer no crank but starts when bridged at relay. changed bat. starter, relay, ignition coil/ switch/ and ignition, terminals, ground cable, fuse, black relayZ?????

Check for power on the red with light blue wire at the ignition switch with the key in the crank position. If there is no power make sure there is power on the yellow wire at the ignition switch. Also check to make sure the key is making the full turn to the crank position. If there is power than check for power on the Pink wire at the neutral safety switch on the side of the automatic transmission. If there is not power I need to know if you have the anti-theft system or not. If there is power than check for power out of the neutral safety switch on the red with light blue wire. If there is power on that wire pull the starter relay and check to see if two pins are grounded all the time. One of the other two pins that are not grounded should have power all the time. The other pin should have power when the key is in the crank position. That should get you started. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll do my best to answer them. My 97 monte carlo will turn over but there isn't any power to fuel pump I know it works and I've changed all the fuses and relays and also got the key checked.... I don't get it also checked...

The ECM BAT fuse powers the fuel pump through the relay. If the gray wire has power and the black wire has ground, and the fuel pump does not operate, its bad.

I have a 06 f150 5.4L the fuel sending unit went out so i had to change to pump and everything, the pickup ran fine before but wen i put the new pump in it will not work so i tried resetting the fuel pump...

Hello, There is a fuel pump Relay in the Powerbox under the hood. The system works this way. When you turn on the Ignition switch, it trips the Fuel pump Relay. The power is routed to the fuse from the Relay and then to the Inertia (safety) cutoff switch. Finally the power reaches the Fuel pump.

You need to test the fuse holder for power before it flows through the fuse. You should have the Ignition on, in order for the Fuel pump Relay to provide power to the fuse. Although the fuse may be good, it can not work without power.

On most Models, the horn Relay is the same part as the Relay on the Fuel pump. Just check your part numbers and swap out the two parts and see if it helps.
