Cynthia, unfortunately the engine in your Sebring is what is called an "interference engine". When the timing belt breaks on an interference engine, the valves stop moving and the still moving pistons hit the valves that are open and bend them. This requires the removal of the cylinder head(s) to repair the damage. A fairly expensive proposition, I'm afraid.
