U1000 means modules on the data line have stopped seeing communication with a module. U1064 is a communication code for the BCM. It may be faulty or not communicating for some reason. If it has been changed it needs to be programmed.
Battery light is for the alternator. Not the battery. You can have it checked at a parts store. On the vehicle. The 300 code is for random misfires, all cylinders. This could be from a bad alternator. If the alternator is not putting out enough volts, it will draw down the battery. When the voltages gets to low, misfires are the first to happen. After that things start shutting down. Eventually the vehicle will just die. The 1000 code is a relearn/drivability code. Don't worry about it.
If the DTC U1000 set current, this usually a module that is currently not communicating or a configuration issue... For example: if the control module is configured for an option (ie: Onstar, Keyless Entry, Memory Mirrors, ect.) that the vehicle does not have, it may expect to receive a message regarding this missing feature. CAN (Controller Area Network) is a serial communication line for real time application. It is an on-vehicle multiplex communication line with high data communication speed and excellent error detection ability. Many electronic control units are equipped onto a vehicle, and each control unit shares information and links with other control units during operation
This DTC sets under the following conditions:
The ECM (Engine Control Module) has lost communications with one or more of the onboard control units for a specified amount of time.
To diagnose this code you must scan all the other modules to see if they can communicate with the scanner. If all the modules are able to communicate with the scanner then the problem is intermittent and can be very hard to find. If you have one or more modules that fail to communicate then the problem is the data line to that (those) module(s).
Those codes are can communication codes that help each system talk to each other. You may find that it needs a new crank sensor. The 2.5 liter engine had some issues with crank sensors.
Check the battery cables, make sure the clean and tight, also check the left body ground.
Those two codes are just for communications. They do not usally mean there is a fault in the system. It means that one modual was unable to talk to another modual for a split second.
