SOURCE: car wont restart after minor fender bender

Most modern autos are equiped with a crash sensor fuel cutoff switch. That may need to be reset. I don't know much about the Tarus, but I found the switch in the trunk area near the passenger rear fender in my Ford Escort.

2000 ford mercury 3.0, shifter wont move. had a fender bender, put it into park and it wouldn't come back out.

For car not changing gears it can be shifter assembly issue, or it can also be transmission issue. Get the shifter assembly inspected with ignition OFF.

For more troubleshooting, I suggest you to get the Following help link checked, its complete step by step procedure to inspect gear shift issues: -----

My drivers side door hits the left front end panel when I begin to open it causing the panel to begin to bend in

Somebody has had a small front left corner accident, throwing off the door position or moving the fender back a bit into the door's arc of movement. You will have to take it to a dealer and have the door re-aligned and/or the fender adjusted. This is not an owner serviceable item.

We have a 2006 Kia Spectra, the car was in a minor fender bender ( rear passenger side) and now the door locks keep clicking. The remote still locks the doors and they stay locked. If you lock them from...

The linkages or inside the door panel may have come off on the door lock. The best way to check the problem is to remove the panels and simulate the locking of the doors. You should see if there are parts that may have come off or had loosened up.

Doors where hard to close without the weather door seals. But with them on they will not close. The body plates more but not enuff on the cab? I need HELP.

Hi!!
The doors Hinges or Striker need to be adjusted to make up for the weatherstrip thickness. To do this, loosen the hinge-to-door bolts for lateral adjustment only. Loosen the hinge-to-body bolts for both lateral and vertical adjustment.

REAR DOORS

BEFORE YOU START:
  • Determine which hinge bolts are to be loosened and back them out just enough to allow movement.
  • To move the door safely, use a padded pry bar. When the door is in the proper position, tighten the bolts to 19-25 ft. lbs. (26-35 Nm) and check the door operation. There should be no binding or interference when the door is closed and opened.
  • Door closing adjustment can also be affected by the position of the lock striker plate. Loosen the striker plate bolts and move the striker plate just enough to permit proper closing and locking of the door.

Heat will only defrost, no matter where I put the dial.

In the front of the cherokee, right side under the bumper there is a football shaped plastic canister.
The canister is a resoiver for vacuum that control the heat and defrost doors. Either it is cracked from the fender bender or the body shop didn't connect the vacuum lines.
