I have a similar problem with my 1992 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme. The way I open the hood is to reach my hand between the radiator and the front of the car, and for me there is a bar running right up the middle if I follew that too the top, and on the drivers side of that bar should be the hood release, and I feel around till I feel the hood release cable, and then I push on the lever that the cable is attached too, most of the time this works. Hope this helps.

My hood release cable is broken at the inside handle....how do I open my hood?

If there is a bit of the broken end of cable still visible where it broke off from the handle, try grabbing it with a pair of vise grips to pull it and open the hood.
Maybe the handle will need to be removed in order to get to the broken end of the cable.

Interior hood release broke out around mounting bolt. Temporary mounted release but still can not release hood. No opening problems until now. How do I get the open?

If just the mounting broke & not the cable also, take a pair of vicegrips or good pliers on visible portion of steel cable & pull inward. If the cable itself is not broken it will pull out enough to open release.

Broken hood release cable. Can't open hood

this is a hard one it depends on where it broke, can you cut the housing to get to cable core and pull with pleirs, if it snapped at latch then you will need to remove the grill or go from the bottom and try to hit the release the same wat the cable did, sometime if you grab the cable near the latch and pull hard it will open, good luck.

Broken hood release on 98 chev 1500. How can I get it open?

if it is broken at the handle you should be able to grasp the cable with pliers to pull it otherwise you will have to go out front of truck and the best way i found requires long arms, but you would have to use a flashlight and slide under front bumper and look upward to find cable/latch assembly. You may be able to do it through the grill but if cant see it through the grill under neath.if you in front of truck pull latch to right and it will release.

Hood release broke

you are going to have to either remove the panneling to get at the cable and pull it with vise grip or try to get up inside the hood from the front and release the latch that way . either way is going to be tough to get to.
