have someone look at YOUR BRAKE LIGHTS .start car and hit brake pedal if you have no brake lights your problem is the brake light fuse or the brake light switch usually the switch.
There is a switch, usually on the side of the transmission next to the shifter linkage, that turns the backup lamps on. My guess is yours is stuck. Sometimes you can free them up, but it will stick on again, or fail all together, so your best bet is to get a new one from the parts store, and then you will know exactly what the old one looks like.
I had this problem in my 05 GT at about 50K miles, and had to get the stereo replaced. (It was covered by my extended warranty.) They have to send the old unit back to the factory to get the CDs out but will get them back to you when in a week or 2.
i have a 07 v6 as well, and the electronic throttle control light came on after extreme change in weather, warm to cold. Restarted the car later in the evening and no light.
you can change it by releasing tension on the pulley arm(as if changing the belt) and then unsecuring the idler arm pulley by means of a large bolt in the center of the pulley, usually reverse threaded. Pulleys cost about 10 bucks, but good bearings don't come cheap.
