Code p0193 refers to Fuel rail pressure (FRP) sensor -high input Possible causes ---wiring short to positive--- FRP sensor. I would replace the sensor with a genuine unit as after market units have different parameters and the cpu may keep bring up the code.

Fault Code Definition P0193
  • Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit High Input

What tests can I do to test fault code P0193, and code P0183 on my Dodge Nitro

Points to fuel temperature & pressure sensor or sensors. Simple to check, just disconnect and read ohms. May just be a loose connector or wire. Not a very expensive part to have to replace. 25315585-zejmo41uy3tce5x43qikgza0-5-0.jpg

P0193 - fuel rail pressure sensor circuit high input

If you have replaced the sensor, check the wires at the back of the plug. Pull them one at a time, if they stretch it is a broken wire. When you get a high reading code. It is either it's unplugged or a wire is broken.
