The steering box has an adjustment screw or bolt which is kept from turning by a lock nut. Loosen the lock nut and turn the screw or bolt
so as to reduce the play in your steering. The adjusting bolt is generally
located on top of the steering box.

SOURCE: I disassemled the tilt steering wheel to my 1990

You will have to remove the lock plate and the turn signal plastic assembly, from inside the column housing, in order to access and tighten up the three hex screws that have come loose, allowing the tilt column to move side to side. I have done this numerous times, in the mid 90's, when the 80's GM tilt columns started to come loose with age. The hardest part is getting that lock plate off, and replacing it, if you don't have a lock plate puller, so make sure you have one or else get one, as it will save you lots of time and fustration. Good luck.

2001 montero sport xls sport horn on my alarm how do i stop it i pulled the fuse but it is still goint

You need to determine if it's the horn or the alarm. My Montero (not Sport) had 3 horns. All 3 of which go off w/ the Alarm, but only one is connected to the horn on the steering wheel. I could not make mine go off w/o pulling the relay under the hood.

My spring was bad in the steering wheel. I was able to bypass the wire using instructions that I actually found on a Mitsubishi Forum. Link below:

Why my four wheel drive shifter moves side to side when its in the two wheel drive position

if the shifter feels tight in the movement then I would suspect failed engine mounts and gear box mounts allowing excessive engine /gear box movement.

Play in steering wheel replaced upper and lower ball joints and out and inner tie rod ends. what next?

raise the truck and have some one rock the steering wheel back and forth while you look for excessive movement at the idler arm - also check is the input shaft on the steering gear box rotating more than the output(pitman arm side) i've seen more steering box failure in the last several years especially true with big tires or boggy road driving, a rebuilt box can be bought at a local parts store- o'reillys, advance, napa etc.

2004 Mitsubishi Montero Sport cigerette lighters no longer work

I had the same problem. The fuse for the accessory plugs are not in the fuse box above the drivers feet it is in the group of fuses just above it. The owners manual describes it as location #16. It is a 15v fuse.

Powersteeringhasplay

Jack up one side at a time and pull and push on the tire to see if there is play on the inside or outside tie rods. There is a larger link on the passenger side bolted to the passenger side of the frame. While you check the passenger side of the tie rods you can see that part too! If the smaller parts look good then the pitman arm attached to the steering box should be hand checked with a helper moving the steering wheel 6 inches or so each way with the engine off. The steering wheel should not have more than 1/2" play within the gearbox.

Steering Wheel Wobble

Have you tried cross checking with another wheel alignment specialist? To me it seems to be coming from the tyres or a dented rim. You could ask them if they do dynamic wheel balancing on the car itself. This will take in consideration the out of round of the hub as well.
Let us know if there is any change.
Cheers.
