2000 toyota solara heater motor works and then stops when it stops it comes on when it wants too?

Sounds like a bad heater switch.
Maybe loose wire that feeds the heater motor.
OR the blower resistors is making and breaking the circuit.
Possible bad heater motor. Try smacking the lower right dash panel when the heater is is in the "ON" position.

Find the heater motor first.TAP on the motor-if it goes then ,the heater motor is most likely faulty with burned brushes, inside.

Blower moter does not work ( 2004 monte carlo )

Check for power to heater motor, if you have power then you will need a new heater motor. The heater motor is located under the dash on the passengers side. You can try tapping on the motor and sometimes it will start up (short term fix). There is also a resistor in behind the heater motor but normally the fan will work on one speed if the resistor is the problem.

Heater fan not operating

Most of the time when a heater blower quits working it is the blower switch that fails rather than the motor. Blower switch can be accessed in the dash panel.

Heater does not work

The heater not working. This problem is related to few possibilities 1) The thermostat can be faulty. 2) the heater blower motor resistor is faulty 3) The heater blower motor it self is faulty. ------------ The The blower resistor is behind glove-box on plenum.Connect the 12 volt battery directly to the heater blower motor and see,if the motor runs then its faulty resistor or thermostat.but if no motor running then its faulty motor. The thermostat is located at the top front of the engine. For easy access follow the top radiator hose. The top radiator hose goes in engine .Take that hose out and thermostat will be seen inside. --------- The thermostat and resistor are not very costly part.So you can directly replace them and see if its helping.First confirm motor is working,by directly by passing the blower motor to 12 volt battery. ------------ This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

Heater fan only works once in a while

if it only works on hi, then it's probably the resistor. if it works on all speeds when it does work it's probably the heater motor or the relay, try this, when it does'nt work with everything on try banging on the heater motor located below the glove box, if it comes on it's the motor.

1997 Chevy K1500 heater only works on high

Good chance it's the resistor . Will be in circuit between switch and blower, usual locations are on ducting under dash on passenger side, or behind glove box. Locate wires coming from blower motor, and follow them back to resistor.

Front blower is out for heat and air, back works fine

Have the front heater core flushed ,since there is heat to the rear the thermostat is fine so it could be plugged. If the fan works on no speeds the check the fuse for the heater fan,if it's good you neerd a blower motor.

Heater motor only works sometimes on 2000 towncar

you need to test for power at the heater motor when it doesn't work there is a heater resitor that aslo needs to be tested if you have power to blower motor and it is still not working the motor is bad. if no power go to resistor it is located in the heater box behind right side valve cover. test for power at the plug it will move from pin to pin depending on the heater speed setting if you have no power at the resistor then suspect a faulty heater module. if you need anything else let me know.
