SOURCE: need location of crank sensor

You did not mention the engine size you have, but the sensor is mounted on the trans housing and will look like this on a 3.8 liter engine.

2005 chrysler town & counry constantly blows hot in front

I'd lean more toward the blend door actuator. I've experienced that problem more often with Grand Caravans (aka Town and Countries) and Pacificas. Usually, if it's a resistor, it's the blower motor resister, which means you wouldn't get any air movement at all.

The only thing I can't recall off hand is if Chrysler services the actuator separate from the blend door housing on these models. However, I'm sure that's what you will need as the blend door is what regulates the mixture of cool and hot air. Keep in mind this is not the mode door actuator or housing. That's something completely different that directs the air to different paths (vent, floor defroster, etc.)

Contact Chrysler as I believe these are only available OEM last I checked.

Often a sign of a blend door problem. The blend door or doors are in the heater a/c box behind the dash.

Did you pull a vacuum on the system before charging? Disconnect the blend door actuator and turn it by hand. These aren't known for having stuck blend doors.

My 2001 Chrysler Town and Country heater is working fine on the driver side, but blows out cold air on the passenger side. Help

I have seen this quite a bit. This issue is caused by the blend door for the climate control system. Those doors were not that well constructed and end up breaking to the point where the climate system can no longer operate the door. This can be a very difficult to repair because it requires dash removal to get access to the appropriate door. This condition can easily be verified by a dealer test with scan tool. If you would like to replace yourself I would recommend contacting dealer for a copy of the removal and repalcement procedure for the passengers blend door. I hope this information was helpful.

Driver side blows hot air. passenger side blows cold air

There are separate blend doors for the passenger and driver's side. The blend doors divert, not block air, so it is unlikely that the blend doors are the problem. Your mechanic needs to check the operation of the re-circ door and if its fault replace it.Thanks. Hope you rate my response

My heat stopped working in my 2000 town and country van and I have no idea why...any suggestions? Thanks In wi and it's freezing

If it happened suddenly, it is probably the blend door actuator.

Please see my tip at http://www.fixya.com/cars/r6235876-no_heat_fan_blowing_cold_air . These are generic instructions. If you get stuck or need specific instructions for your car, please get back to me with model, year and engine info.

Your blend door actuator is above the accelerator pedal. See picture below.

u will need to repair the passenger side air temp control blend door, either the door is stuck or the small electric actuator that moves it is defective.
