Rattling noise in ignition

My plymouth breeze began to make a noise like a broken bolt rolling around in the starter area...then I drove home ...later tried to start the car and nothing. Lights and all other electrical work...but the ignition doesnt click...replaced the fuse...and it blew when i tried to start the car. What can this be?

If you keep popping fuses everytime you try to start the car, you have a bare hot wire grounding out somewhere. That will cause the fuse to pop everytime you turn the key on. the best way to fix it is if you know someone who is good with electrical wires. Have them pull the fuse panel out and follow the wire until they find where the wire is bare. Have them fix that bad spot and that should fix your problem.

1997 Plymouth Breeze Engine keeps shutting off.

You need to do an OBD2 engine control module fault code test to see if the fault is recorded in the memory of the computer control module. Autozone and others do this testing for free.

You said you tightened the battery cables, did you check the other end of the negative where it bolts to the engine. When you tightened the cables you also used a battery brush and cleaned the posts and ends?

How do you remove the starter from a 1999 Plymouth Breeze

On a 2.0 unhook the wires from the back of the starter then there are 2 bolts that go through the nose cone of the starter into the block, you remove those 2 bolts and the starter will fall out.
