Check the MAP sensor and the fuel pressure regulator, start with that and also cleaning the throttle body will help also. Make sure you use throttle body cleaner, carb cleaner is to corrosive to the throttle body gaskets. Good luck and hope this helps. Keep me posted,be glad to get your car running 100% again soon.

SOURCE: po300 multiple misfires.I have changed the coil

reset the ec module by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes. If that does not work have autozone do a free scan and ask them to reset the codes.

SOURCE: 1991 olds Cutlass Ciera. 3.3l, failed the NO

Since your cat was replaced you should be looking at fuel problems...even gas cap seal....check fuel pressure, fuel regulator, and evap system.>canister or purge solinoid,o2 senser...high nox is caused by the cat or fuel problems on these engines...high pressure in the combustion chamber...lean condition>air leak on hoses,or high compression caused by carbon build up ...there is no EGR on this car so don't waste time looking for it...hope this points you to your problem

Can a bad intake gasket cause my car not to run or run rough

Yes. If it is leaking, the engine is not getting enough air intake. It's the same as disconnecting the PCV valve.

Intermittant p0302,p0305 codes misfires

A code P0305 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
· Faulty spark plug or wire
· Faulty coil (pack)
· Faulty oxygen sensor (s)
· Faulty fuel injector
· Burned exhaust valve
· Faulty catalytic converter(s)
· Running out of fuel
· Poor compression
· Defective computer

If there are symptoms such as the engine is stumbling or hesitating, check all wiring and connectors that lead to the cylinders (i.e. spark plugs). Depending on how long the ignition components have been in the car, it may be a good idea to replace them as part of your regular maintenance schedule. I would suggest spark plugs, spark plug wires , distributor cap, and rotor (if applicable). Otherwise, check the coils (a.k.a. coil packs). In some cases, the catalytic converter has gone bad, especially given you had water issues. If you smell rotten eggs in the exhaust, your cat converter needs to be replaced.
I've also heard in other cases the problems were faulty fuel injectors.

Sentra misfire problems

I would pull the sparkplugs and examine. Are they Black? ,Wet?, Hot?, Cold? Also whenever you change the plugs change the wires (cap and rotor if app.).Cracked wires are hard to see but can cause spark to find ground before it gets to sparkplug.8 year old car how many full tune ups?.Good Luck.

When idling my 2003 Acura TL the engine seems to want to almost die, also when i got on the freeway it seem to pull hard and **** like it was having trouble shifting into 5th gear. It also seems to run...

You may need to change the coil pack(s) or modular. The modular is what the coil pack(s) mount to. I'm not familiar with that engine so you may have a 3 piece coil pack, or a 1 piece. (If it doesn't have a distributor). You may first try replacing the coil wire. There is a good chance that is loose, or bad. It could also be the coil itself. Try the coil wire and if it still acts up, then try the others. Also, when you changed the plugs, did you put new plug wires? When I do a tune up on my vehicles, I change the plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor, (coil pack, modular), whichever is equipped, oil, oil filter, tranny fluid and filter with gasket, valve cover gaskets, oil pan gasket oil filter, and fuel filter. Try changing the fuel filter as well, as plugged or dirty fuel filters can cause stall outs. I hope this information helps. Thank you for choosing fixya.com for answers.
