The fuse for the fuel should be in the engine compartment by the battery towards the firewall. do you have the owners manual? why do you think its the fuel pump or fuse?

Just brought 2000 chevrolet venture van have fuel pump isseu but not pump i checked fuse box someone have a small black wire connected to fuel pump fuse and fuel pump relay that blow so i replace both...

It's possible someone used the jumper wire to load side of fuel pump relay, gray wire. That supplies voltage to fuel pump motor, the fuel pump fuse is hot all the time. The fuel pump will run all the time even with key off, running down the battery. They used the jumper because of some kind of problem. Can you unplug the relay and check relay terminals, where the relay plugs in. Use a test light, either a problem on the load or control side of relay. Are the relay terminals numbered, like 30 and 87, maybe 85 and 86 also?

Have a 2001 jaguar vanden plas. It won't start. It cranks fine battery is good but it won't turn over. I have been told could be fuel filter and or fuel pump. If you agree how do i change

To confirm that is is the fuel pump at issue here get a can of spray starting fluid and next time it won't fire up spray it into the air intake hose of the engine while someone cranks the engine over, if it lights right off then the pump may be the problem. A clogged fuel filter may cause loss of power but seldom if ever a no start.

My car doesn't start but the battery is fine. The engine fuses are fine. There is no fuel going into the engine. What could the problem be? I already replaced the fuel pump. my car is 96 Dodge grand...

put a funnel in the gas nozzle have someone turn ignition on to almost start, but don't. You should hear pump running before you start your van if you don't hear the pump you know you have a defective pump if you hear the pump purchase a fuel filter try that if not possibly could the relay not sure where its at but could finds out for you.good luck

How do you fix a fuel pump on 2000 Pontiac Sunfire? Well, I think that is what the problem is...the car turns over but won't start. (battery is new and the starter is fine) It seems like it's not getting...

Yes - that relay could cause your problem. Remove relay and replace with a like numbered relay from the relay box if you have one - if not, buy replacement relay and test. If that doesn't work then the fuel pump is in the gas tank and you'll have to remove ( or at least lower ) the tank to replace. Make sure you empty the tank as best as possible before loosening straps - they are very heavy when partially full. Even 1/4 tank is hefty and difficult to manage. It is also possible your fuel filter is plugged and should be replaced when doing a pump assembly as well as the plastic sock on the pump assembly.

1997 Cirrus battery went dead. The car ran fine

These cars are known for having engine related electrical problems that can be difficult to track down. One dead sensor is sufficient to prevent start up .

It is possible that your problem had nothing to do with the jump start or battery replacement.

Without a full diagnosis anyone not able to test the vehicle will be guessing.

One thing I would do is to check your fuse panels for all engine related fuses such as fuel pump, ignition and fuel injection to ensure these fuses are sound.
Check all visible wiring carefully including your battery connections. Carefully disconnect and then re-connect the battery at both terminals.

Your best option is to have the car towed to a reputable repairer that is familiar with these cars so he can run a full check and isolate the problem.

Whether you have blown something in the course of jump starting the car is unknown.

In future, when jump starting these older vehicles always turn the headlights on and do not turn them off again whilst the vehicle is running until after the spare battery used for the jump start has been fully disconnected. Everything else should be off.
