I have a 1997 Chrysler Town & Country LXI 3.8 and recently when I'm driving or even just getting in or out of my van all I can hear is a really bad creaking sound coming from the front right side of my van what could be causing the problem? A friend went and tried to grease the the front right side or what ever you use a grease gun for but he told me that whatever it was is sealed and could not be greased so he tried to spray the ball joint, strut, spring and ti-rod(inner and outer) but it did not make the sounds go away. My friend also said that the sound was coming from the spring and that the ball joint and inner and outer tir-rod looks fine and also when I'm driving there is no pulling or shaking even when on the highway just the creaking. whatever the problem is how much would it cost to fix and with the year of my van would it be practical to even get repaired as I already have leaking valve cover's and was told from a garage it would cost $398.00 to fix I know that most of it must be just in labor alone as I called the parts store and was tolded that the gaskets cost only $21.00 and I don't know anyone that could fix it as it took me 2 weeks just to get my friend to do what he did do as he is not really a realiable friend ugh.:(

P0731 A/T Additional Gear Ratio Error In First Gear
Your catalytic converter could be clogged up or just bad. Or, you could have a leak before the catalyst.
The other code suggest you have an internal transmission problem that is mechanical and cannot be fixed without taking the transmission apart.
