I put the back passenger window down and now will not go back up. I have power windows and neither switch will raise the window up. My husband has tried to lift it up manually and it didn't work. has the door panel off and looking to see if he can figure out how to get it back up. Help

there are 2 clips on the window that are connected to the track. They are glue on and then screwed in. they have a bad habit of breaking. Its not a hard fix but it does take some time.

If the window goes down, that says the motor is good. Being a DC motor it will run either direction. The window switch reverses the polarity. You can remove the door panel to get to the window motor connector and determine which wire is live in the down position of the switch. There is only 2 wires at the window motor. After you find out which wire is live for "down", using a 12v battery reverse the polarity by connecting a piece of wire from the battery positive to the window motor terminal that was NOT live in the "down" switch position before. And connect a piece of wire from the battery negative to the window motor terminal that WAS live in the "down" switch position before and the window will go up. Now being positive that the problem in not the motor. You will have to back track to the switches to determine what switch is the cause. Hope this helps. Good luck.

its sounds to me like its a voltage drop problem the wires in the door jam by the hinges bend flex and crack and lose there abilaty to carry the amperage needed to lift the widow. very easy test to do use a dvm on 2 volt scale one lead to neg terminal the other to the ground wire at master window switch should be no more then .2 to.4 voltage drop when motor is running also test power side same way. hope this helps. thunderboltz

Yes you will have to replace switch on drivers door. That is where the problem is.

That sounds like the switch is failing to me. Many times these switches get wet and or dirty which causes them to fail to make a proper contact. I have sprayed many of these switches with electrical contact cleaner and seen them work like new. I would try that first before replacing the switch.
Before you replace anything, inspect the connector pins in both the driver's door switch and the passenger door switch. If you don't find any problem with these connector pins, replace the driver's door control switch.
