Question about 1999 Ford Mustang Cobra

Mustang Transmission leak

I have a 1999 Ford Mustang Convertible. It has atransmissionleak. It will go in reverse but not in Drive. Ithesitates to goin to drive. Does this transmission need to bereplaced?

    Is the trans low on fluid? Remember only check the level when the trans is hot.

It is possible it is bad. It is also very possible that the fluid is too low to work correctly. If the fluid level is right, Id say the tranny is no good.

How do you put down the top on a ford 1998 mustang convertible


Make sure the parking brake is engaged first. Then just push the button next to the parjing brake.

if the nuetral safety was a problem the car would not start at all, sounds like you have a defective engine wiring harness, this is the most common cause of this i have seen while working for Ford.

who ever changed that trans for you should told you about the difrence in trans after all they should have giving you some kind of warenty go back to the shop that change trans let them drive the car

Transmission won't come out of reverse


your Transmission is controlled by a cable on the mustang. it could have Came off of the transmission. it just snaps on to a lever on the transmission. or the cable broke. other wise it came unhooked from your shifter.
