The nine quarts is the total capacity of the transmission. The only time you would use all nine quarts is if you where flushing the transmission.
You will need to drop the pan and start over as your transmission is now severly overfilled.

If it doesnt have a cap on the radiator itself youhave to add it through your overflow tank....If the car is low (be sure it is) add some there and it will **** what it needs into radiator.

What's happening is the trans. computer is detecting something wrong. It puts itself into "limp in" mode. Most of the time a sensor is acting up. Go and have you computer (trans.) scanned so you know which sensor is going bad. This is a very common occurrance with all chrysler products. Don't go to Autozone for the scan. Your best bet is to go to a transmission shop.
