ASHTRAY 1999 MODEL A3 CANT GET THE ASHTRAY OUT TO EMPTY IT .....WHAT TO DO ?

Try to use a good quality "Foam Cleaner" - don't use too much - ; it might be due to dust or dirt. Leave if for a few minutes, and then tap gently on the ashtray cover. Repeat the process if needed, then wipe clean. This may solve the problem, as I had a similar case two days back but with the ashtray of one of the rear doors on my 1999 XJ8.. and this solved it.. also I used same trick to make the top of the ashtray compartment in the center console opens more freely.

1999 Camry ashtray bulb is a #70.

the plug in a.k.a. data link connector(dlc) is located either behind the ashtray or underneath the ashtray. you can pull outward on the ashtray to acess the dlc. hope this helps.

You need to get the serial number off the sticker attached to the radio. It will require pulling apart your dash. Call an Acura dealership with that serial number and they should be able to provide you the code. Or you can take it directly to the dealer but you will be charged labor.

The ashtray is removable for ash disposal, pull the edges away from the dash and it shouuld pop out.

It turns out that it was attached by a clip on the right side of the ashtray frame inside the dashboard. I took out the removable "cup" part of the ashtray, then removed the two upper and two lower ashtray frame screws. Next, I pulled the frame forward and disconnected the small ashtray light. The power wire for the cigarette lighter can stay attached. After that, it was easy to replace the flasher unit

the ashtray has two metal 1/2 inch prongs in the back side of the tray with ur thumb & fore finger push in at the sametime,in the back of lighter pull out plug then replace it and then do everything backward hope it helps.

Vacuum it out at the car wash.... thats what I do.... then take a wet rag and wipe it clean
