i also have done a diagnostic test and it states a turbo overboost condition and it drives fine locally but loses power on the motorway and struggles to reach 80mph? any suggestions please email me at [email protected]

have you tried cleaning out the throttle body as i had a similar problem and this worked

This is typical problem when AC Compressor starts to lock up and first makes a noise. then on overheating locks up and will stall the engine until something breaks either in the clutch or belt and it is free again to start engine. Yes, is the same fuse nr.41 (15A) !
For Audi A3 the fuse box is located on the left side of dashboard behind a plastic cover (for left hand steering wheel vehicle). On inner face of the plastic cover you will find the fuse diagram.
The fuse nr.41, (the second fuse from right to left direction, on the second row from bottom to upper direction, on the fuse box), F41 (15A) = Rear screen wash & wipe system !!!
Replace blowed fuse with new one and problem will be solved quickly !

The easiest way to find an electrical draw is to remove the negative battery cable and put a test light in between the battery post and the cable. If a draw is present the light will light bright, a dim light is normal. You can now remove fuses until you find the circuit that has a short. You should start at the alternator, it is very common that a diode will short out inside of the alternator allowing it to still charge, but also have a direct short.

the problem is in the voltage regulator IT is probably in the ECM which will require an ECM replacement get it to an accredited auto electrician for a full check of the charge system to eliminate all faults , fires etc

Hi all happy new year 2016 i have exactly same problem with Audi a3 8p 2.0l fsi 2005 fuel pump running all the Time ( with and without ignition)non stop . For stop it i need to remove fuel pump fuse.
I think this part is defective
