Tip & How-To about 2006 Ford Escape

Will not fill with fuel, pup shuts off.

I removed filler neck rubber hose from entrance of tank, did not find any blockages but did use screwdriver to open flap and make sure it opened freely when being filled. Did find where rubber VENT pipe from gas cap down where it goes through car frame into gas tank was kinked, and removed mud caked in hole in frame which allowed rubber vent pipe to move freely without binding. Now tank fills a full tank of fuel without pump shutting off twenty times...

How to drain a 2003 Lincoln navigator fuel tank

to start with you have to remove the filler neck at the tank opening you open the doorthere will be three small Torx head screws surrounding the perimeter of the opening for the fuel tank filler remove those 3 screws allowing a filler neck to wobble inside the fender then climb under the vehicle find the location of the filler tube connection from the hose to the tank just follow that hose down we're at clamps on 516 socket nice short extension and remove that hose clamp and remove the rubber line from the fuel tank once that's complete take a piece of smaller than 38 fuel line about 3 to 4 feet long preferrably and thread it through the filler neck being aware of the tank flap on the inside do not damage any obstruction of the tank assembly when trying to fish the host through then create a siphon into your collection cans until the tank is empty enough to achieve your goal pretty straightforward and common sense will help out more than my instruction

if the flap is intact you can try spraying some wd-40 on its hinge. If its missing you need a filler neck for your fuel tank.
