2000 Toyota Camry Questions & Answers
Where is the fuel pressure regulator on a 2000 Toyota Camry
A faulty fuel pressure regulator may result in engine misfires, reduction in power, poor acceleration, and a decrease in fuel efficiency. That said, the symptoms can also take place owing to other mechanical issues.
The Fuel Pressure Regulator is attached to the fuel pump and that whole assembly is located in the gas tank, beneath the rear seat. AFAIK there is only the one unit, not one for each bank. You can test to see if you have sufficient fuel pressure at the fuel filter.

Back up light not working
hello, the back up lights are usually on the same fuse as the tail lights so if they are working it's not a fuse, if the tail lights are not working replace the tail fuse. Otherwise the problem is most the backup light switch, on the manual transmission it's a separate switch located on the transmission on an automatic it is incorporated into the neutral start switch also located on the transmission but on the shaft where the shift selector attaches.
2000 camry wont shut off
Sounds like you have a short in the electrical system.
Could be a bad ignition switch. You need someone to check for continuity. etc.
I have a 2000 Toyota camry 4 cyl the car
For many of the 90's and 2000's Toyota various models - Camry, Tacoma, 4 Runners, Corolla, and some other models overheating is usually caused by temperature sensitive fan switch on the radiator not operating. Electric fan on the radiator should operate when temp above 200 degrees. Less often the control relay 90987-03003 is defective. Check if bubbling in the radiator smells like exhaust. That would indicate a blown head gasket. A jumper wire from your marker light positive to the lower contact in the fan control relay socket will operate your fan when parking lights are on. The larger vehicles with more powerful radiator fans will need a hefty jumper from a headlight positive to avoid overheating the lighting wiring. Make sure the engine is off and warmed up to check the radiator core with your hand to see if it is getting circulation. If it is all cold the thermostat might be stuck.
HOW TO REPLACE THE PISTON INTO THE CYLINDER SLEEVE
the pistons can be installed from the bottom of the cylinder where there should be a chamfer ( use a ring compressor here makes the job easier--on the bench)
once you have the piston in the cylinder then install the assembly into the block taking care to ensure that the piston is at the top of the cylinder so that the big end doesn't damage the crank journal as you slide the cylinder down into the block I take it that the engine is a diesel ( wet sleeves) so check the liner to block face height before fitting because if the cylinder lip is too low , it will blow head gaskets
make sure that the piston is orientated correctly , the same as the others
Timing belt diagram
The Timing Belt? Yeah get a repair manual that is model specific and re do it it has to be perfect. absoutly perfect or it won't run right ever. In fact, you could damage the motor if the timing belt is off you will slam the internal engine parts into each other.
I have a 2000 Toyota Camry with 220k miles. The
Yup, any time you give it throttle after it goes into overdrive it will shutter like that, and have a miss at idle. This is called a dead cylinder and happens to a LOT of vehicles nowadays. Meaning it's a common situation. Have each injector checked with an ohm-meter. The one that reads low is faulty. If none read low and all are the same, you have a bad exhaust valve and it's needing attention. Have a compression test done with all the spark plugs out to find which has very low compression. That would be the "dead Cylinder".

I want to change the Oxygen sensor (s) of my
the type of sensors you need in that state will be available from the service dealer spares or auto spares shops
as for the number there is one HO2S ( heated oxygen sensor ) in the exhaust manifold /pipe before the cat converter for each bank) and one o2 ( oxygen sensor) sensor after the cat converter for each bank
each type of sensor does a specific job and are not interchangable
it is best if you buy the correct socket tool to remove the sensors as the wires are delicate and are easily damaged while installing the new units
