hi dear, kia sportage 1997, when drive a car between 60 to 80k/m grear is not shift 3rd to 4th, some time work some not work & rpm going up & down. please tell me what need to do. thanks answer.. need to check or replaced the temperature thermostat and sensor.

That's a dead battery. Check the battery terminals for corrosion and tightness. If it doesn't improve, have the battery charged and tested.

We unhooked the battery and left it unhooked all night. This morning when he reconnected it and started it, it started right up and the hold light and our check engine light went off. We did press the hold button and it came on and went back off when we hit it again.

The air bleed nipple is a small screw (8MM) at the uppermost point of the caliper. It should have a rubber cap on it to stop rust from blocking it up.

Just check in the engine bay near the battery, that's where it should be located

Look on the shifter lever,just bellow the push button. There is another push button there. That's the one you press or depress to keep the transmission on 3rd. gear. Just press it again and the hold light should come off.

find where the timing marks should be by looking it up on the internet. Make sure all marks are properly aligned and start it up.

Do you have the owners manual? The location should be listed in it under the service section. If not I'd call the local Kia dealer service dept and ask the service advisor.

Possible (but unlikely) connection between the oil change/overfill and the starting problem. How much did the shop over fill the oil? Did your check engine light come on? If so, did you have the error code read? Did the shop perform any other maintenance/repairs when they changed the oil?

either you have a faulty gas pump, one or more spark plugs or cables ar going bad or nrrd to br replace, could be a vacuum leak too, yourcar have the check engine light on? if so, need to know what code the will help you a lot.

disconnect the wires+fuse from positive battery, see the diagram attached.God bless you

No engine fires all spark plugs at one time.Ever see an engine that has all pistons come upat the same time,won't work designed like thatInjectors fire along with the plugs!!You'll have to access a factory diagnosticmanual, if you want to know the misfire detectionstrategy for your motor.Could ask that question using Google or studyyour motor on the internet

Sounds like one of your Catalytic convertor's are plugged up.

The position and function of the fuses is normally marked on the inside of the fuse box cover and also in the owner's handbook.
