99 kia sportage how do the fuel filter unclamp
there are only 2 kinds on EFI. (mostly)
the automatic clip on kind
and the unscrew kind, (see hex nut, or banjo bolt) no.
the clip kinds are many.
some you just push a tab and it unlocks.
others a special tool to unlock them.
no matter, just look and you can see what kind it is.
lacking hex nuts. lacking lock tabs its the special tool day.
that is what i ,do if lacking the FSM book..? (facts)
or bingo on GOOGLE
her was the 1st hit. (luck happens, and google is friend no?)

1999 kia sportage heat and air will not blow
Try finding the blower motor and see if it will work if you hot-wire it. If it doesn't, the blower motor will need replaced. If it does work the switch may be defective.

Front end unlocks after a few minutes
If the light turned off you most likely have an electrical problem. your front hubs are vacuum controlled. when you put the car in 4wd it trips a switch in the transfer case and powers up the vac solenoid which engauges the hubs. You could have a bad switch or a corroded wire

1998 chevy blazer heater core replacement
under the hood to the far left corner you must cut the plastic cover open to expose the blower motor. remove the screws that hold the blower in place, pull the blower through the hole.

What does the blinking "hold" light mean on a 1999
this indicates that the gearbox is set/stuck in one gear .I presume this is an automatic ? try disconnecting the battery, leave for 5-10 minutes to allow the power to drain down from the electrical components , before you disconnect battery make sure you have the radio code if one is needed,re-attach the battery (only need to detach the earth lead from battery) try the vehicle, if this doesnt work get the OBD codes read and have them cleared ,this should fix it otherwise further diagnostic investigation will be required at a repair shop

No power
Could be fuel pump/filter, or air filter. You could try starting with the air filter as this will be cheap.

BATTERY DRAIN ON KIA SPORTAGE 99
i would recommend performing or telling your tech to perform a parasidic drain test. because if your battery is dying after a day of no use it sounds like a control module is telling something to turn on when not suppose to and is draining the battery so you will not be able to start it.
hope this helps
