BEEPING CONSTANT WHEN I START THE CAR
Check your owners manual under Warnings audible and see what things are listed to to cause a warning tone it could be a faulty seat beat buckle, to low brake pressure. You have options 1 have it checked 2 turn the radio up high 3 ignore it 4 trade in. Good luck with this decision.
Why do the rpms stop between 2500-5000 on a 2002 Lincoln LS
There are a few reasons to limit RPM which can be a "Limp home" mode activating. But most show a code of some sort with a dash light. Another area is the automatic braking for the "Traction control" which in some models can also have a control to throttle the engine down to prevent wheel slippage.
Blocked catalytic converters can limit RPM by choking the exhaust flow. You have crankshaft and camshaft sensors which count the RPM and send signals to the brain and the fuelpump. Your crankshaft sensor regulates the fuel pressure and if it miscounts, the engine can be fuel starved.
Not all scanners are the same. One that reports fuel pressure while simultaneously reporting RPM would be something to know for fuel starvation.
You can kind of eliminate some possibilities by whether "Check engine" or "Traction control" warnings are on.
Need to know what fuse
When you say ignition that opens a wide door of things so I am going to asume you mean the ignition switch and I hope this is what you are looking for. That fuse is located in the trunk of the vehicle in the power distribution box back there (see picture below). The fuse you may be looking for will be in the number 22 position in that box (see other picture below) If by chance you have the LS with the V6 manual transmission it will be located in the number 31 position. If this is not what you are looking for you can email me at
[email protected] with your make, model and year and ask for an owners manual. I will be happy to email you a copy and don't worry there is no cost to you. The manual has diagrams of all your fuse boxes in the vehicle as well as whatever else you can find in an owners manual so if you need it just let me know. I hope this helps you and good luck. Dual Temperature controls inside - 2002 lincoln ls
The problem is most likely a bad dual climate control valve. This component is located on the right side near the radiator under the hood. It will have several coolant hoses hooked to it and 2 silver cylinders protruding from it. You can clamp off the heater hoses at the heater core and see if both sides cool then and this will tell you that the valve is letting coolant thru when it shouldn't be.
This will narrow it down to either the valve or the control head inside the car,or wiring in between them. The only way to narrow it down further is if you have a scan tool that could access the climate control data. Have seen several of these valves cause this concern and have only seen one control head cause it.
99 lincoln cont transmission sensor
The electronic shifter is located on the transmission itself. It is called a shift control module. If you plan to replace the shift control module, it is at least $200 and you have to match EXACTLY for that make, model, year and transmission.
Turns over but wont start and was running very ruff before
Try starting while depressing the gas pedal. Did it start? If so, remove engine cover (if equipped), inspect vacuum hoses and lines for cracks or breaks. If need be, have an assistant to keep the car running while you also listen for hissing noise which is also an indication of a vacuum leak. Did this work?
Linclon 2003 od off blinking
This is usually an indication there is a problem with the transmission. If you live near an Advance auto or Autozone, they can do a quick-scan for free. They'll plug in their diagnostic to check your car's computer for any codes that would identify the issue, if the problem has stored a trouble code in the vehicle computer memory.
