when and if you get the linkage bak on try bending the wire or get a pair of plyers and cut a tiny bit through and strip some speaker wire and get some of the copper out and wrap it around the cut that you put in it and it should stop it from coming off again

I recently replaced a fuel pump on my wifes 96 passport. 3.2 liter. about 2 weeks after I changed it we started smelling gas really bad even coming from the ac, but we are not filling up more than usu

Find the leak before your vehicle catches on fire!!! If it's too difficult, take it to a shop ASAP! Your lives are worth more than that.

Miss firing

USA car? engine runs bad, gross misfiring, and stalls and idle speed all wrong>? and of course all engines smell of unburned fuel when misfiring..so.. and gross loss of power. from engines. sure that is misfire too. so lets work MISFIRE fist what engine is this, sure the HONDA mistake, its really an Isuzu engine. (abomination car) with USA axles. wow. 2.6L 120 hp (89 kW) I4 3.2L 175 hp (130 kW) V6 which engine, we cant fix engines blind. so... so i drop to generic answsers...... no eng. 1: ever do the 60,000 mile tuneup,?? if not ?,FAIL she will.. 2: are all 4 or 6 spark plugs all firing?into fresh spark plugs>? 3: is compression at or or better than 150PSI? on all cyl. 4: is it flooding? 5: is the check engine light on key on then goes out running? if the CEL hangs up glowing running then scan the ECU. scan it and get the DTC error codes. use any scan tool , (OBD2) plugged into the 16pin DLC connector near knees. scan it and find what errors you have, i bet, P030x codes. those are misfire, x = cylinder that is bad. 0= all. there is a start. fuel filter fresh. ? (if found easy near gas tank)

Heater is out, apparently motor blower is out.

Keep using it and see what happens. Might be ok. Does the motor sound different from before?

NEW BATTERY, NEW ALTERNATOR, ENGINE WILL CRANK BUT NO FIRE.

no engine option size stated, so i wing it..(generic is harder) ok battery changed, no need for jumper cables now. engine cranks robustly. so no fire, i hate to tell you that word means (NOTHING) there is fire to each spark plug (tip spark = fire) then there is combustion fire , a goal on all cylinders. so use the word spark , you then check spark at all cylinders. please. if spark is gone on 1 cylinder work that. if spark is gone on all cylinder we then scan the ECU. RULE 1, no EFI car , runs fueling unit (IT) thinks(sic) there is spark (3 way checks) this is Crash and fire protection on call cars. most books fail to say this very important feature in all modern cars. so that is why spark is 1st. never ever done last. you crank engine for 5 seconds. release key, not off. the key yet. and the scan tool, shows P0340/355 or any codes relate to spark CMP./CKP ,etc. and the rpm shows 250RPM cranking, yes,the scan tool can see RPM cranking and is a TOP check , missed by many noobs. so now you have spark on all cylinders. we cross fingers #1 is good, 150PSI compression on all cylinders, min. and blame fueling. A: is it flooding or starving???? the spark tips (i bet its tunedup, huh) are dry or wet. B: more later if you get this far. just oneline says it. for 100 years now. (otto cycle engines) (cranks ok, compression good, spark good x4,x6, fueling last)
