Guages go wild
same here and still going wild havent you noticed it only does this when the weather is hot, am not sure but i think its the printed circuit board that causes the problem it expand on hot weather and contracts on cold weather, i have tried taking the whole assembly and cleaning it, it did last a few months and back to being crazy again. also considered replacing, cannot find a new one

Bypass antitheft
I'm afraid you are out of luck. The anti-theft is part of the instrument cluster and the body computer. Its almost impossible to bypass it.

What would cause a 2000 Ford Windstart to idle rough and check engine light to flash?
HAVE YOU LOST ANY FLUIDS? CHECK COOLANT. IF SO THE INTAKE GASKETS MAY BE GONE. IT ALSO CAN NEED A TUNE UP PLUGS AND MAYBE PLUG WIRES. THAT IS IF YOU HAVE NOT LOST COOLANT. YOU CAN CHECK THE COIL BY USEING A TEST LIGHT. YOU CLIP THE CLIP ON THE BATTARY GROND OR THE BLOCK PUT THE POINT IN TO EACH PLUG WIRE AT THE COIL MAKE SURE YOU PUSH THROW THE RUBBER. THE TEST LIGHT WILL LIGHT UP WHEN THE PLUG IS TO FIRE. THE ENGINE IS TO BE RUNNING. CHECK EACH WIRE. THEY SHOULD FLASH ABOUT THE SAME. IF YOU SEE ONE THAT IS NOT ABOUT THE SAME THEN YOU HAVE A BAD COIL.

What causes everything to not work in the dash?
First, you can check the fuse box for a blown fuse that powers the dash lights/gauges. Fuses are labeled and are easy to see if it is good or blown. Blown fuses will be missing the metal arch inside the plastic case. Or look for a disconnected or corroded ground wire, especially if there was ever a water/coolant leak under the dash area and floor. Chasing missing grounds can be expensive.

I am losng water but see no leak
Its probably a cracked head = take out sparking plugs and do a compression test . If its the head gasket leaking you can replace .If the head or bores are cracked ,another head from a brakers should suffice after checking with crack show up paint . and resurfacing.
