Removal;
Rotate the engine until the No. 1 piston is on top dead center of its compression stroke.Remove The distributor cap and then mark where the rotor is pointing on the side of the distributor with some white out or anything that you might be able to see when replacing the distributor back into position.
Disconnect the TFI module by pressing the catch and pulling on it.Loosen and remove the distributor hold-down bolt. The distributor should slide straight out. It is also necessary to remove the distributor to change the TFI module if you had to do this in a separate operation.

Recheck the initial timing after installing the distributor cap.
Tighten the hold-down bolt and recheck the timing. Adjust again if necessary.Thank you for your questions

1993 mustang where is the fuel filter located
Most fuel rails are on the left side of the vehicle. They are usually located near the back tire. Look under your car, left side, and you should see the fuel rails. Follow the rails toward the trunk. The lines will run into the fuel filter.

93 ford mustang lx doesn't run good
Could be a multitude of possibilities. But first, check the simple things like your air filter, to make sure it's getting enough clean air, then check your fuel filter (you may just have to change in order to rule it out as a problem), your spark plugs (and plug wires) could need changed, the catalytic converter may be plugged solid, and the fuel injectors may also be plugging up. Start with these simple fixes first, then if it's not taken care of, write back.

Fuel not getting to fuel rail but getting past
if you have a owners manual look up the fuel pressure regulator. if you are getting fuel past the filter but not up to fuel rail it sounds like you may have a hole in the diaphram inside the fuel pressure regulator. Fuel regulators are generally not cheap but once you locate it on your vehicle (its somewhere right down there before the line hits the fuel rail) try getting one at an auto wrecking yard first. I got one from the local wrecking yard here and it only cost me 5.00 and the time it took for me to remove it myself. That solved my problem with mine. Cheap and inexpensive to give it a shot if it works for you. Good luck.

What causes the check engine light to come on
Hi and welcome to FixYa!
The check engine lights up because the computer detects that there's something faulty. It can be something like sensor failure or it can be just time for maintenance check. This can be resolved when you have the car scanned. It will list the trouble codes and by then you will know what part is to be replaced.
Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

I have a 1993 ford mustang with the six cylinder
this could be a couple of things - you might check to make sure the fan is spinning ok ( it could be going out or not spinning proper ) ,, also check that your water pump belt is at the correct tension, make sure your anti-freeze and water is at the proper ratio, and I know that you said that you replaced the thermostat - but there is a chance that the thermostat is not opening all the way and is restricting water flow. since you also brought up the ' heater blowing cold ' problem, I would say that there seems to be a water cirulation issue -- ( again to the pump or thermostat ).

The horn does not work
Disconnect the horn, test with multimeter (set on AC and the range that within 12 volt) some body must just press the horn inside and the car must be turned on. if you get a reading on meter the horn is OUT, you can clean and adjust it on the horn (first tap the horn to make sure there isn't any dirt in it) there must be a screw with a lock-nut, release the lock-nut and while somebody is pressing the horn inside adjust that screw until it make a sound adjust until you are happy and lock the lock-nut again

Check engine light and oil light comes on
First thing is make sure you have oil in the car. The oil light works off of a switch mounted on the side of the oil pan. It could be a bad connection at the connector on the switch. I have owned 6 Fox body mustangs and the only completely trouble free oil filter is the FL1A. i have had 1 out of 5 Fram oil filters set off the engine light. One of my cars is a 500 hp notchback '92 model and I use the FL1A in that car also.
