Heater not working
If a radiator and heater core flush doesnt fix the problem then it will be a blend door actuator located on the inside under the dash somewhere in between the middle to the passengers side. Test each one with a vacuum pump until you get heat; the one that causes heat to come out will be the bad actuator.
My gmc k2500 p/u has a clicking noise when i accelerate and bogs down
sounds like your engine is TIRED ! worn out, lifters tapping, loss of power, valve train worn, tired, NEW HEADS, LIFTERS, CAM, would help this out a lot, had to do this to my 1988 gmc 2500, before I did could not climb a hill, and don't forget the NEW TIMING CHAIN SET. mine was also overheating, its because the engine was working tooooo hard, and not that good ! just thought I'd pass it on, JEG'S.COM or SUMMIT RACING check them out, good prices for your truck ! if you don't think this is your problem, them move on , but what if ????
I have a 1995 GMC k2500 I just rebuilt the engine
This will happen when the clutch in the starter drive is bad. You indicate you replaced the starter. Was it a new, reman or used unit? We would usually replace the starter drive assembly to correct this condition.

What is entailed in changing out ignition switch ?
Hi, the switch is on the column below the knee panel. You need to remove the knee panel and maybe loosen the column from the dash to get sufficient access to the switch. The switch has 2 connectors on it. Remove the smaller one first--it has 2 tabs holding it. Then remove the larger one. The switch is held on by 2 (5/16") screws on the left side of the column. The actuator rod is stuck into the side of the switch. Pull the switch off the rod and reverse procedure to install new switch. Please let me know if you have any questions, and thanks for using Fixya.
Front end off the ground, you can move the tire
Check the steering column bushing under the rubber boot in the engine bay. It is easy to miss when checking front end parts and (if worn or broken) creates alot of freeplay in the steering.
How do i properly put put my 4x4 lever in gear,do
The GMC I had you stopped, put the gear selector in Neutral, selected 4x4, put the gear selector in reverse and backed up a little then moved it to drive. Same procedure to go back to 2 wheel drive.
Where is the tail light
Are you sure the circuit board within the lamp assy is not the problem.
That is the most common problem on C/K truck taillamps.

I have a 1993 Chevy truck K2500 Long box ext bad
One is as bad as the other, BUT if you have a lot of fuel in the tank it would be easier to lift the box than to drop the tank, laying on your back trying to balance the weight and not get gas all over yourself.
Chances are that you'll have to replace the straps for the tank if you try to take them off, they usually break. You'll probably have to get new bolts for the box if you take it off, same problem as straps but they will be cheaper. You can just jack it up and slide it back a little from the frame to give yourself some room. You'll need a helper. Check for a ground strap at the fuel filler neck, there usually is one there so unhook it if you do this. Hope this helps.
My 1993 gmc k2500 with a 454 is cutting out when i
Well - here is an old timers trick - you have nothing to lose so here it is.
Old school. To eliminate the possibility that you have trash in the carburetor :
Remove the air cleaner - start the vehicle and try to rev it up as best you can while you take a rag and SECURELY - try to 'choke out' the motor by shutting off the air. Do this while being careful and having a live GOOD Fire Extinguisher right there in a helpers hands. Try this about 5 times and - if there is any loose debris this method sometimes many times will clear it out.
