Hi, 91 GMC Safari Van

As far as draining the battery, pull the door lock circuit breaker till you can fix the issue. When you drive the vehicle, you can plug it back in. If your sure the door locks are the problem? In my database for body info, if no screws then there is a keeper, with a keeper you use a flat bladed tool under the edge, slide it along till you find a keeper, then release it. I don't like to fool with keepers, I usually break something. Just my opinion. door locks-okipnkd0trwtrhiw1nimxcvb-4-0.jpg

96 safari rear wiper arm removal

Wiper arms are fitted to a tapered and splined shaft and they can become very tight on the shaft even without the problems of poor maintenance - when servicing a vehicle I always loosen the wiper arm retaining nuts and apply a small amount of chain lube and retighten. Subsequent removal becomes a little easier and the chance of snapping a wiper spindle much reduced. These days few wiper arms can be removed without using a small gear puller that is sold by tool outlets for the purpose of removing most wiper arms. Recently a colleague needed to manufacture a "special" for a particular car because mine wouldn't fit. Rear wipers receive no maintenance at all generally and being more exposed to the weather, salt, road dirt, corrosion can be a big factor when removing the arm from the spindle. This is especially so when the rear wiper arm is plastic with a moulded-in ally hub. I have in the past had to resort to carefully cutting and grinding away the arm in order not to risk the spindle or the glass. I suggest you try a wiper arm puller and a little gentle heat and if that doesn't seem to be working then cutting, grinding or drilling would be the best solution, after protecting the glass with lots of forgiving material...

I have a 1988 GMC

Make sure the seal from the old filter is not still stuck on the housing. If it is it will leak for sure. I always smear some oil on the new filter seal before putting it on. I also fill the new filter with oil.

My 98 gmc safari starts but won't stay started unless u keep putting gas into the throtal thing behind the airvent I already changed the fuel filter still doing the same thing help

It might be your fuel pump not getting fuel to throttle body. Disconnect fuel line to throttle housing get someone to turn car over and see if fuel is getting pumped up. If not the pump could be faulty or fuel filter blocked. Also check to see if you car has a fuel cut of reset button it could just need a reset.

I need help can't keeps 98 gmc safari started all I did was run out of gas put more gas in and changed fuel filter still won't stay on ran great before what could it be

Could be the fuel pump as they use the fuel as a lubricant. When run dry this can cause wear to the impeller of the pump. I would check the fuel pressure in the fuel rail.

Interior lights wont turn off 1998 gmc safari van

Did you try the door switches? Pull the fuse, Unscrew and disconnect he wiring- DON'T let it pull back into the door. Tape it down, but don't let the wire touch anything. Replace the fuse. Is the light off? YES. Replace the switch. NO? Repeat the above steps for each door switch. Find the culprit and replace it. If the lights continue to stay on, then go to the dash panel and replace the panel switch where the panel dimmer wheel is at. I think the entire headlight switch may have to be replaced if there is no wheel on the dash. Hope that helps.

What would cause my engine to bog out it ideals fine but as soon as I press the throttle it' bogs I replaced the injectors fuel pump fuel filter what should I try next ?

Replace the distributor cap and rotor. These year GMC's eat them up. If you find the cap with brass contacts they will last longer. Unfortunately still only about a year. Another possibilty is the coil.
