97 chevy suburban missfire cylinder #3 at start up
If you replaced the plug, wire and cap then it's either gona be the intake gasket seeping or a bad valve. Gasket more than likely I'd say bc the vortec motors are really bad about leaking or blowing the lower intake gaskets

Several things. It could be the fuel pump, check pressure. Could be the fuel filter, replace it, no checking it. My first 2 choices. Next would be compression check. Next would be a tune up, plugs, wires and the such.
1999 Suburban, A/C on warm air from front vents, cold air in rear
The car uses the same freon in the front as it does in the rear. If the rear a/c is working, you either have a plugged evaporator in the front unit, or perhaps a bad heater switch. Try switching the heater to hot and see if it blows even warmer air from the front vents. If so, the heater switch is working and then it sounds like a plugged evaporator or maybe a plugged orifice tube. That is a good place to start looking. Hope this helps.

What size engine do you have in your Suburban?
About 99% of them had the 5.7 liter V-8 engine with 255 horsepower.
Approximately 1% had the 6.5 liter turbo-diesel with 190 horsepower.
The 2500 suburban has an option for a 7.4 liter gasoline engine with 290 horsepower.
What is causing my 1997 suburban 350 engine to backfire through the intake?
If you had no problems before the accident then anything associated in the accident is suspect as to why the problem started . Check for any fuel hoses in the area that may have been pinched or broken. Check for broken /blocked exhaust system, crushed pipes. Check the cat converters for cracked internally and blocking the exhaust. check for pump lines in the area . Carefully check all items around the damage site as it will be noticeable as different to how it should be.
