1500 chevy suburban 5.7 won't start in rain
Time for a complete tune up, this time put a distributor cap on too, plugs wires cap rotor, and use quality parts. what you got here is condensation getting under dist. cap most likely because cap has a hairline crack in it.
I have a 98 chevy z71 4x4 1500, when i push the
Sounds like you think there is a magic genie out there, that doesn't have to look at a wiring diagram or test anythingYou have to understand any system or component your aboutto work on or test FIRSTI suggest if your working on this yourself, you Google the question & also go to You Tube Video, it is all there except maybe where to start your testing
Diagrams of oxigen sensor
your oxygen sensors locations.one oxygen sensor located in the exhaust pipe before catalytic converter.the other oxygen sensor located in the exhaust pipe after the catalytic converter.
Will not start
check crank position sensor. check cam position sensor. Have the fault codes read for fault. Check key battery is not flat causing the immobiliser not to work.

Are you sure you are on number 1 spark plug wire? if so your wires must be off on the cap. put the engine on top dead center on the compression stroke, that is with number 1 spark plug removed turn the motor over until you feel air rushing out of that plug hole and the timing marks line up at TDC. Then make sure that the rotor on the distributor is pointing at the number 1 plug wire, if not you will need to re-time the wires on the cap to where you make number 1 were the rotor is pointing and work clockwise around from there 1,8,4,3,6,5,7,2.
Brake lights dont work on 96 cheve k1500
I'd suspect the brake light switch. I have a '93 that has the same problem. Under the dash is a brake light switch that is mounted so when you push the brake pedal, the switch "opens" allowing a complete circuit to light the brake lights. That switch is "cheap". It can get out of adjustment, and can fail. You might be able to work it with your finger to test it. Also check the wires to the switch.Be blessed.
What causes a 1996 chevy silverado 1500, with a 5.0 vortec 305, to jerk or cut out at constant speeds only over 40 mph and only when at operating tempture? also the wipers and power windows will still
Ok first of all The Ignition Modgule you need to replace that 26 bucks It is weak Kaputt 10 min to do that The 96 chevy pick is a awsome truckThere are very few things that go wrong with this truck and it is caused by normal ware mostly except for the head lights whitch I changed the light bucketts out and went to seal beams and seeing distance is great that way. Ok on them ( the starter switch) That is a cause of many problems door locks windows They wear out you know what I am saying it is a 96 ( Never never sell the truck you will hate yourself for it) Always keep clean oil in it always better yet go to synthetic 5 30 oil and have the trainie flushed every year keep it clean. These trucks are classic if it is a step side they are sexey doll it up and find a second auto and hide it is a garage it is worth more than you know.Like I said I own one 600 thousand miles and runs like new. But yeah the most things on these trucks are the Ignition Modgule and the fuel pumps in the tank. The fuel pump take the bed off and change that out 20 min to do that. Like I said you have a awsome truck Love them best one chevy ever made count on it.
The truck turns but won't start.
have you checked for spark? it has been my experience that most chevys have a problem with electrical stuff when cold. i would check for spark, it may be present but weak. i have a 95 k1500 suburban, and things like window motors and seat motors lag alot when its cold outside. if spark is weak, u may need a new coil
