I have had a Nissan 2006 350Z for over a year now

The drain plug may need to be replaced, They could have damaged the threads or the gasket. It will leak and you not see it if the oil is leaking onto another part or when driving the wind is pushing the oil off that is leaking. Check out the drain plug.

Engine overheating

There could be many things to cause an engine to overheat. First off does the fan come on at the appropriate temp? do you see or hear them come on once the engine is in operating temps? Is there antifreeze in your system? is it low? has it leaked out? check the radiator resiviour for antifreeze and add if needed. There may be a sensor that is bad that might keep you fans from turning on. Best advice, take it to a reputable shop and have it scanned with a machine that can diagnose your exact problems($40-$80)

350z Rotors need to be cut at only 10K miles

Your rotors should be fine but it also depends on who turned the rotors and how they were done.Considering the dealer replaced the pads they probably used a metallic pad which have been known to be a noisy .Id suggest you have a repair shop resurface your rotors again and install some ceramic brake pads.

Brake pads and rotors have a short life.

I would recommend ceramic brake pads. And slotted rotors. Ceramic brake pads are more expensive but, they will last longer and some come with a lifetime warranty. Also slotted rotors are more expensive but if you shop around you can find a good deal. They are slotted to keep them cooler. Which means quicker stopping and long life.

2005 350z Enthusiast Roadster, 33k miles loose clutch

you may have a clutch problem. If it doesnt slip, I would keep driving it. 33k is awfully young to need a clutch unless its been abused...... The engine does NOT have to come out, I dont know who told you that BS???? its no different than any other rwd car.

Ignition

you could have a starter solenoid problem or an ignition problem.

an ignition problem would not likely to occur yet at 17,000 km. so a starter solenoid problem could be the culprit.

you have to bring down the starter and check the solenoid's terminal for loose or broken connection.

check also you battery terminal/cables...it may just be a simple case of dirty battery terminals...

tnx 4 using fixya

What does psi as well

Hi,

To my knowledge, this is an indicator that any one of your tire(s) requires additional air. The PSI is pounds per square inch, the measurement for air pressure, in this case tire air pressure. Incidentally, the horseshoe is actually a cutaway view of a tire.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.
