ENGINE RUNS VERY ROUGH UNTIL I PUSH DOWN THE GAS PEDAL

Could be a number of engine related problems, but rough idle on an old car is most often from dirty injectors.Go to autozone, for less than $5, get a bottle of injector cleaner and mix with a tank of premium gas. Let it cycle through and that should help the rough idle.

I had a customer buy an 02 cavalier from me. About a week later they called me saying that their car wouldnt shut off and they couldnt turn the key back. To get it to turn off they turned the steeri

If the key and switch are now turning on & off properly, does the starter engage & crank the engine? If it does, have the key & lock cylinder checked by a locksmith, or mechanic with the needed diagnostic equipment. The cylinder reads the key and tells the computer that the car isn't being stolen, activating all the other systems. If this is the problem, it will require removal of the air bag & steering wheel to be replaced.

Wont shift out of park

Sorry its hard to diagnose from afar in this case as the normal answer would be to check the fuse and the stoplight switch but if it appears loose then maybe the linkage inside ahs fallen apart so i would suggest that you ask a local mechanic to have a look for you

Clicking noise in the front passerger side

good day.not really enough detail but if the clicking is worse or only there when you are making a turn i would suspect it,s the cv joint.however if the clicking happens when you are on a rough surface then you should have the suspension and front end components checked by a pro as the problem could be with a ball joint or a broken component in the suspension wich could cause loss of control...good luck

Chevy cavalier 2002 shut off while driving, power steering went out and brakes. i turned car off and it restarted what was it and how can i fix it?

Ther is a problem with some computers in that they shut down the engine for no apparent reason. This problem hounded Kia owners as the engine just stopped at lights but restarted with no problems. Check for any fault codes and check for circuit problems with alternator as some cpu's get their power directly from the alternator and it has to be full voltage or they sense a power failure and shut down.

I put a new thermostat on my 2002 cavalier now its running hot

The most common cause is that you were given the wrong thermostat when you purchased it. The second most common problem is that the thermostat was installed upside down.

My car ran fine earlier today, I went to start it a few min. ago and i made a split second sound like it was going to start then nothing. the lights wont even turn on.

It sounds like a battery issue. New cars have a built-in voltage sensor that when it drops below a certain cranking amp level it will disconnect all power to the vehicle. It happened to me once. Try jumping it, if it starts it's the battery. Also clean the terminals as they do create a corrosive gunk around the positive terminal that cuts power from going into the wire. Some baking soda, a little water and an old toothbrush go a long way here. Also, if you have a battery terminal brush, even better. But be careful with any stuff falling on your eyes, clothes or skin.

Temp gage on dash stays at low and i have no heat coming out from any vent just air,

If you have checked the radiator coolant level and it is correct, I would think that maybe your thermostat is stuck in the open position which will not allow your engine to come to the proper operating temperature.
