On most Cavalier motors the dip stick i s part of the filler spout you just remove the filler cap and pull the stick out with the cap. Make sure you check the oil with the motor shut off

I\'ll give you the benefit of the doubt and that you\'ve not had the car long, or depended on others to provide basic maintenance. First, go to local auto parts store (where you\'ll be buying any oil, oil filters etc) and get the Chilton repair manual for this car. You don\'t need a college degree to understand the instructions and pictures.

If you can't see separate oil dipstick (usually has an yellow plastic handle), then your oil level dipstick is connected to oil filler cap. When you unscrew the oil cap you'll be able to see the dipstick and level meter.

if its coolant and not rain water then the heater core has a leak and needs replacing.

coolant temp sensor controls the fan along with a fan relay located in the under hood relay fuse panel

Check all ground points in the trunk area. Sometimes too the bulbs will corrode in their sockets and stop electrical current from making contact...so take the bulb out wire brush conacts and then use die-electric grease on surfaces.

Sounds like the motor is jamming up. Watch your fingers but try to give it a little help.

Find a place that clean remove as much as part in order as you can. oil pan drop it transmission pan drop it battery remove and keep thing clean as possible. starter intake everything fan power pump and radiator than you can remove hood and get a lift for engines and unbolt the trans than the motor mounts

Ignition modules are the first to die from heat. And will act funny this way. They aren't cheap though. I work on GM and have dozens of these laying around. So to swap one out is no big deal to me. I recommend you try one from a junk yard and see how it goes..If it is bad, they will let you swap it out.

renew the air bags with some from a scrap vehicle ,its that simple

Insert your key in the ignition and turn the key to the "ACC," or "Accessories," position.

Insert a straightened paper clip into the small, circular slot to the left of the ignition slot.

Turn the key to the "Off" position.

Pull gently on both the paper clip and the key to slide the cylinder out of its slot. You can then remove the paper clip and pull the key out of the removed cylinder.

the flasher module is under dash near the steering column. could be bright green if OEM. if the low beam light is out, try replacing the bad bulb. that should correct the issue with the headlights.
